It's so BORING to do storyline all over again

People complain about everything these days, so the forum will be flooded with posts saying that someone had the chance to get better gears way earlier than them. How will your gears and skills look like? Does your character start at level 68 and your selected skill gems at level 15? Or 16? How do you decide that? Or if you start at level 1 and go to atlas, how do maps adjust to that? And I'd like you to be very specific on that last one, because the way I see it, finding balance in 160 maps is pretty hard right now already, with people running literally thousands of spider forests in a row.

Why D3 nephalem portal idea is bad? Players start at chosen personal hideout and at level 1. They receive not a Map Device, but Map Research device. When you enable it, it generates map for your character depending on your level and you can use orbs on it, maybe it will spend some kind of resource, maybe not. Yes, this would look like nephalem portal from D3 (im not D3 fan, but its not a bad thing to admit some good decisions). Anyway, guess what game designers who get payed on full-time work can invent? I think they can invent much more.

I've never played D3. I feel strongly about the distinction between virtually limitless funding and a hundred thousand a year though. Then again, just from the technical point of view, maybe it would work if you copy/paste the game further from the diablo franchise, many of my other points would still stand, specifically the fact that you're losing half the game.

And there would still be many people unhappy about the option to opt out, just as there are now who complain that there isn't that option. And I think any dev who cares about their own game (rather than shareholder equity) would opt to save game content, rather than remove it (or give an option to remove it, as someone has pointed out the difference in wording)
Reality is an illusion, Exile.
From reading there seem to be a sense of entitlement from the new players. I guess that is what happens when you get popular. You get the casuals who wants it all but wants to invest little :P

It's not a new player thing. It's an improvement thing. Yup, using the word "casuals" just like any self entitled elitist. PoE getting popular is a good thing, but people like you act all high and mighty about it.

I've been with this game a long time, since beta. I'm not asking for things, just because. If you tell me you can speedrun campaign in 8 hours, then give me an endless map for leveling to 70 in 8 hours as well. I'm not asking for faster or instant level 70 or whatever. I just can't stand running campaign again for every new character in every league, all that fetching and hunting, picking up this and that, wondering which quests give points and whatnot.

Wrong.

I invested more in this game than in any other in my life and I plan to invest much more. Just that right now the act running is so tedious I have little initiative to continue making new characters and experimenting with new builds.

I'm by no means a "pro" but I don't think my game time is that casual-like, mr.Hardcore person.
I wonder how much shit all these snowflakes would have flipped back in 2001. its rather amusing
Story is shit, game play on story mode is also shit. Skills books should be optional in, if you need it you can go and do those quests. There should be option beside require to do story every damn league

That's just like... your opinion bro.

Doing the story every league is a great way to be introduced to new leagues mechanics, makes sure there is healthy and equal competition between players as everyone needs to go trough exactly the same initial steps.

Shame you don't like it but that's life. Sometimes you have to do things you don't like.

did you just post your own fucking opinion too? think a little bit, you don't need to quote my opinion with your own opinions.

think a bit more before commenting, make a new thread about how you like story mode, 0 fuck were given.

What about an adventure mode where u can enter maps matching to your level (from 1 max 65) without any item/requisites. Then at 65 they could start to drop maps, and begin to complete the atlas as usual (similar to d3). The main difference is that there are no quests, thus, If you want the extra passive points/bandits reward you will need to play the campaign.

Yep.. From looking at your characters you sure aren't a pro. You tend to stop playing before the 'meat' of the game even barely start from the looks of your characters, lol

Either way the only way I can see them doing this is if you complete all 10 acts first and then maybe give you an option but to be honest re-rolling a character only takes 10 to 15 hours ( with levelling gear ) which is nothing and if anything a nice change from the 100s of hours in mapping ( which you clearly don't do, lol )
