Have you considered buying a white 6-linked item? Like a low base armor with 6-links (white).

It would be vastly superior to a tabula rasa and it could have some low tier rolls on it.(imagine a itemlevel 55 armor for example)

Simply put, these are the 6-links that go cheap since the real money payers don't want such a low level base to spend chaos on etc. But this could be the opportunity for you you are looking for.

Alternatively, you could look for a really high item level base item (white) and start using armour scraps + fuses on it yourself. It pushes the chances in your favor at a cost of 4 scraps per fuse instead of 20.

A lot of people do this btw before they go for there end-game unique 6-link for example.

Another option would be to buy a corupted 6-link armor with the socket colors you desire, but then it has to be a fixed gem combination. However these also sell relatively cheap because of this and depending on core stats rolled.

(and yes, i know them feels when i use a tabula i purposely only put 5 gems inside of it so i don't get that "bummer" feel once i get my end-game armor and have to drop a gem :) )

He doesnt want to have to trade for a 6L item, thats the point of this whole thread it seems, so he doesnt want to trade for a while 6L either i take it.

tried that. playing on weekends + trying to sell something on Standard = go back to self-found and save myself the embarrassment.

so moral of this thread is - with other "options" not really being options - why for fuck's sake can't I get a 6-link by playing the game. you know, just killing strong shit without repeatedly grinding rocks and barrels, or instance-abusing Dominus again and again.

the grind, is just that: a grind.
and my brains are already ground-up, so I just wish there was more to it.
