socket connections and economy woes: replacing a Tabula Rasa

to XYZ I go again, searching for a 6-link to replace a Simple Robe.
it has to be either a 6-linked Pillar Of The Caged God, or a 6-linked chest which offers some protection as well.

it seems 6-linked Pillars are a rare sight, even in Standard.
and have a price tag of around 30 Exalted Orbs which is... not in my league (to put it lightly).

a 6-linked chest with some actual resistances and (maybe) life? I'm afraid to check to be honest.

6-linking my staff? not feasible. I never did 6-link anything, and never will it seems.

so yeah unless one magically drops on my head, I'm stuck.
and I got used to a 6-link in Tabula, so going back to anything less right now is a frustrating thought. can be done obviously, but a huge downgrade in build quality.

the build is extremely fun though. 3 levels more until Abyssus for extreme damage output with Static Strike, but also a re-definition of what a "glass cannon" truly means...

moral of the story: don't get too attached to using a 6-link, because upgrading one in the current state of things is uber-trader territory.
it's a mistake I made, filling up the Tabula's sockets.

Midnights still go for 1 ex in standard? they are 5-6 chaos at torment ._.

yeah, that's how this A?rpg feels to me plenty of times...like my second job.

With that gear and Abysuss you'll be oneshot by monkeys :)

They're not amazing, but you can chaos spam further for better stats. Still, with Abyssus, melee, no shield, no AA... it will be ripperino in maps :)
