You reported ppl using forum gold website ?

nah, RMT'ing.

we will see if anything happens. i just reported the person involved in this story to support (sent an e-mail)

http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/930453/page/7#p7903239

it's not the first time i have reported such things. i included some screenshots of me chatting with "Bob."

i doubt anything will happen, but i would be pleasantly surprised if something did.

I asked ggg what they are doing if im selling items on the other website but without asking forum gold...
Anyone got an opinon/idea about this ? :)

Their policy, the ToS, is use of/receiving external currency.

$ for example is an external currency. As is £, as is bananas,

People tend to use the 'excuse' that FG trading, as long as it doesn't include real money, is fine. This is simply not seeing the wood for the trees. RMT isn't against ToS because it is real money, it is against ToS because it is external currency.

This is something that never fails to amaze me, because while there are some that try to use it as an excuse, their are some who actually don't get it, lol.

Now to answer the question, after that digression, I'm pretty sure that using other sites as an advertising/sales medium is fine. The exchange of non-PoE-currencies, though, is not (so they say).
Casually casual.

what would you expect its not a skill based game, its time based game where 90% of your play time is focused on farming and grinding.

its fine when you have the time but otherwise no doubt people use RMT to try to be competitive in a respectable time frame.

I love people complaining about the need for grinding while playing a game by the studio Grinding Gear Games. The developers are self-conscious enough but people still want the game to be something different, I guess.

Also the only real competition available to everyone are races.

Did you just admit RMT and guided how to avoid players finding RMTers?

I know people do that over there on a regular basis but that is at last a guide how to cover up traces on RMT.

According to Chris this is allowed.

But personally I would forbid this place at all because of following reasons:
1.Currency traded there even against items is acquired by means of RMT. You are willing to trade RMT currency. This is second hand RMT: Item X vs Y currency. Y currency has been obtained by fools gold.

2.You cannot control PM trades. I logged the board activity for quiet some time and I saw a fools gold change on users with threads "Ingame currency only" google search shows they only play PoE. So how did they obtain fools gold?

You know that the majority of company names don't reflect the game and PoE wasn't such a grindfest back in CB?
Rockstar isn't known for Guitar Hero and Epic Megagames didn't always create epic games.....

Yeah a lot of people use that cancer forum and RMT using forum gold, man i fucking hate that our players dont care about the game to a point they RMT.

I spoke to one person that admitted doing it. They seem to really feel its not hurting the game and is just another way for them to enjoy it. Cant say I agree, but he really seemed to believe it

Many of the users don't actually spend any money. I find it to be quite a bit less cancerous buying items from other players who can only use the currency to buy other items, rather than buying directly from a chinese gold farming site who takes your money and doesn't give back to the game in any way and may steal your credentials in the process. Still wouldn't recommend it but it was a pretty useful site in the Diablo 2 days. We have much better trade tools available to us now days in games like PoE so not nearly as many people use it.
Because of the drop rates RMT is growing strong
IGN : Sir_Big
It's good to see how PoE's economy is so good & healthy it actually spreads outside the game itself.

When will crafting be viable BTW?
