I do buy and sell stuff. Keep in mind, if there is inflation, it means that any drops you get also sell for more. But I have never had an issue, with my limited means, gearing my toons appropriately to handle the content the game provides with a happy level of clear speed an survivebility.

RMT bots also flood the market with uniques/rares making all but the supper rare drops nearly worthless dues to an oversupply. So unless you find a supper rare(lottery drop) unique/rare you actually lose more than you gain by the currency inflation. I'm happy for you that you can take what the game gives you and make the best of it, but to pretend that RMT and bots have no effect on you is like the above picture of the ostrich with his head stuck in the sand.
It's not sticking my head in the sand. I sign in for a few hours each day most days of the week, and thoroughly enjoy myself. This is a game, something I do in my spare time, for fun.

Why on earth should I care about something that doesn't impact my enjoyment of the game?

The "sticking the head in the sand" idea means that you are ignoring something that matters and is important. No one is being hurt, here. That is very different than not caring about some trivial thing because it has no effect on me, or at least enough of an effect to make playing this game any less enjoyable.

The more you trade, the less it affects you, I guess. It widens the gap between those who mostly just work with what they find, and those who trade a lot. Even if sales keep up with inflation, the currency that drops while actually playing the game just doesn't go as far.
No. Calm down. Learn to enjoy losing.

Removing multiplayer would not make it uphill anymore, too.

Removing good features people enjoy to combat illegal activities is the dumbest mindset put in place by major companies like Blizzard. It's like attacking terrorists by throwing a nuclear at them. You got them but who else did suffer? What about the innocent?

Sorry for the rather tasteless metaphor.

Features like Multiplayer and Trading are requested regular if they are not present in a game, like an SF mode is requested around here. Only because you dislike these features doesn't mean that they hold no importance for many (if not most) players and probably for the developers themselves.

Stepping back and removing features due to external effects is the cheap way around.

From how I read it, he was speaking in generalities, not actually referencing any specific feature. However, given the topic of the thread it seems easy to figure out which features he was implying. Unless you are an idiot or a pedant. But that isn't you, I'm sure.

Then again, that's just how I read it.

ORLY? and how about using those same illegal activities and/or cheating as an "official" excuse, to not prioritizing the repair of some of the game's most fatal flaws?
to implementing design, that screws around primarily with the people who do neither?

off-topic I know, but had to be said.
