RMT Wins. Fatality!

Why is it when I see a spammer advertising a RMT site, it is super cryptic? I can type the name of the sight directly into global chat and it is not filtered.

That it's not being filtered immediately doesn't mean that it might not be targeted by a specified search. GGG implied in the past that they do everything to let the RMT companies not know about their involvement immediately. They even "shadow-flag" botters so they get no currency drops instead of outright banning them.

It's a race on both sides really. At least GGG participates instead of just standing by like many other F2P companies do.

GGG couldnt give any less of a fuck about what you or any of us want. They are making a game that they think s perfect regardless of how mediocre it turns out to be.

You're overestimating the impact of RMT for one. While neither of us have any hard numbers to back up any claims, I'd hazard a guess that as little as 1% of all players RMT, a very relevant but very much so not worthwhile number.

If GGG brings RMT officially into PoE, that small amount of players who currently RMT skyrockets as now is it not only legal but the game itself serves as a form of advertisement for RMT

To make matters worse, RMT being built into the game inevitably leads to design decisions which further push the sales of said items.

Next time you don't get a drop that you want, you're going to immediately think the game is rigged to get you to buy stuff from their store. Do you want that? I don't. I'd rather there be a small black market, just like in real life, than totally ruin the game just to curb a small black market (which will still exist entirely if not be moreso pervasive than ever before).

You want GGG to get money? Support them. It's as simple as that.
