RMT Wins. Fatality!
" How can it really be proven, though? You'd need a "before" and "after" state for comparison. You'd need to know what the top-100 in the ladders would look like if every RMTer was actually banned. You'd need to know item prices, build variety, availability of mirrored items, etc if RMT didn't exist. All we know is what the situation is like with RMT in the picture, and we have nothing to compare it to. | |
Botting and rmt are pretty standard for games like these. And people are inclined to rmt due to permanent famine leagues being the base type for this game.
So GGG, just be reasonable for a change, droprates suck(strongboxes is a nice change, but way too little) and your countermeasures aren't going to stop anyone doing rmt in this game. So can we maybe have part of the game on our own computers again to reduce desync? - People who want to rmt can, and do. The only people getting the short end of the stick is you and the honest users. Since all that money is going to botters, rather than to GGG. While most of us have to deal with desync every single bleeding day. Vote +1 to change Path of Exile to Path of Nerfs.
We hate to say, but ProjectPT was right. |

every popular game that allows trading will sooner or later lose the fight with RMT. There are lots of ppl that bot for living and they will do everything to win.
The solution is simple. SFL. |

It's pointless to report RMTers I made I thread months ago what actually happens.
GGG lives from MTX. RMTers make money by selling items and buy MTX. RMTers receive a warning and I think everybody knows what they will do after they got warned. Do something to be under the radar again.... I saw even an obvious botter getting unbanned several times with 300+$ in supporter tags reported by another player. Come on how obvious can it be? 18h daily online for months. And even better was that the botter is a total moron and uses the same nick everywhere(PoE being the newest nickuse) and on the list of his accounts are RMT sites, botting sites and so on. But how come he was banned only for 6 hours? Can every higher supporter talk his way out of a ban? Or does support believe every obvious lie? That would be like if somebody caught by Blizzard claims that he had malware on his PC and the malware mysteriously modified the same code as public cheats do and Blizzard would unban them. The sad thing is that many PoE players are RMT board trash or trash banned from other games and because GGG does literally nothing there is a D2esque integrity. And since naming and shaming isn't allowed I can use quotes like "I trusted you man *sob*" and most players know which former D3 player(banned) is meant. Oh and what does GGG do? No Sololeague because game needs to be played like MMOPRG. NO CT league where you can permagrief those trash players(oh yeah and MMORPG PVE never PVPed once players are totally in the right place to balance it..) 1 Trashleague 1 Dead League 2 Economyresetleagues The same thing that ruined D2 got here. |

Hey GGG,
Why has this item been listed for mirroring service for at least a month in standard (as long as I've noticed its existence) on a certain multi-site RMT conglomerate for D2/PoE? Bramble Veil Praetor Crown Rarity: Rare Level Req: 68 119% Increased Armour and Energy Shield +98 to Life +72 to Maximum Energy Shield +45% to Fire Resistance +42% to Cold Resistance +45% to Lightning Resistance Surely there aren't so many of this specific item that it's that hard to find what account it's being mirrored from. There are dozens of other 'mirror service' items that can't have very many identical versions in the world you could find. Yet they persist. No. Calm down. Learn to enjoy losing.

" I got to agree with this. More to the point, GGG has done more against RMT than any other game I've seen. Taking away trading because of RMT is just destroying their game which in turn means RMT has won. Last edited by kasub#2910 on May 19, 2014, 10:08:44 AM

You could sell an iron ring for 10000 exalts to another player.
It would be no indication of RMT activity's, since it is a bartering system this would be allowed. This is the same reason why the "cross league trading" rule-set is retarded to begin with. So basically, you can't justify the evidence you gather due to the bartering nature of the economy. In cross league trading, the same rule apply's. Sell a kaoms primacy for 1 alteration orb = allowed. (really these rules baffle me, since they can't be upholded in any way or form.) Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes

" I'll tell you what gets me. Bot or RMT and even IF you get perma banned, you can make another account. Apparently, when a certain RMT supplier (RIP streamer) got banned, the mail actually said he could simply make another account. Another well known banned botter who was warned first, then banned, plays now on another account, hell... is it even the same account? Now, GGG push for the 4 month leagues to be the main game, extra incentives, league only items and mechanics, etc. There is little down time between 4 month leagues. Cross league trading from parent leagues to 4 month leagues is not allowed (I'm not disagreeing with this). Which ultimately means parent league wealth is obsolete. So the policy really looks like this; Bot and RMT all you want, you risk only the remainder of this short league. But even then, risk is a stretch, as there are obvious cases that don't get banned. Casually casual. Last edited by TheAnuhart#4741 on May 19, 2014, 10:23:50 AM
