RMT Wins. Fatality!
" you can but then any reasonable anti-rmt person will go search _my_ trade history, _my_ stash and he will not find anything i have legacy facebreakers try to guess stats and sell it in my name Last edited by CCR5#7770 on May 19, 2014, 6:10:31 AM

" it is "banned" in red letters forum search can be bugged when searching by account name specifically | |
" Wrong. GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

" My expectation comes from comparing PoE to other free economy F2P games. I think RL experience with economics (which I also have) doesn't help much, we can't really measure anything reliably because of lack of information. But I know if RMT was as rampant as johnkeys claimed, the economy in PoE would look a lot worse. GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

I don't know why people fear inflation so much.
Just a thought: Imagine the in-game economy inflates so much that a leveling unique can be sold for 10 Chaos. They are not that rare. Now you got that 10 Chaos but maybe can't buy too much from it. What can you do? Use it of course! If the prices skyrocket due to inflation of any kind ("RMT induced" or not) people will value the intrinsic crafting value of currency against the trading value of currency like they do now but come to a different conclusion naturally. The currency design itself diminishes inflation. If people burn their currency for more crafting again due to the reduced trading value, we will see the usual effects of a currency sink. That all said, "RMT effects" are not really worrysome but they are bad for competition and GGG values sporty competition a bit higher than many other F2P developers. That doesn't mean that they are able to run a support team 24/7 solely on RMT hunt. As seen here they need to keep the pleb in order sometimes so they don't fling the shit on each other. Aside all the technical and account support they need to supply as well as bug reports they need to forward. Last edited by Nightmare90#4217 on May 19, 2014, 6:04:20 AM

" Easiest to just go to your own profile and replace your account name with the [search name] in the web address. Casually casual.

" I have experience with other free economy F2P games and the impact of RMT was enormous. At a certain point nobody even farmed anymore. i use a secret account because i am a politician that doesnt want the NSA to know i play poe.

" whatever "your work" is in public view anyway same accounts same topics every league like a clockwork just to prove a point another "hiding" invasion player selling "exclusive" top and mid tier uniques 30 seconds to find one of his uniques on XYZ 30 seconds to verify socket colors, links and stats account name equals rmt forum name q.e.d Last edited by CCR5#7770 on May 19, 2014, 6:07:56 AM

" Sounds like i need to go on another RMT witch hunt again. Damn you community talking about RMTers and not reporting them!! |

" Yep, RMT is a myth, it never happened. Much like the moon landing. Botting also never happens because GGG's "super secret antibot system"™ actually catches the large scale botting operations, not only the average kid who doesn't have a clue what they are doing. [Removed by Support] is just a friendly fan site community that helps honest players trade their items for in-game orbs and not something imaginary called fools gold. The rmt sites you can access with a simple google search don't exist and are not used by anyone. People that pump out perfect rares and brag openly about going through hundreds of eternals per week are just very good at the game and at life in general and we should worship them. believe Last edited by Kieren_GGG#0000 on May 19, 2014, 6:17:09 AM
