POE or Torchlight II > Diablo III?
" Definetly. It stopped any interruptions from all the lovely hack n slaying in TL. I'm betting some people will miss the now old school method of constantly portaling back to town in Diablo. Not me though :P |

K, I somehow quoted that twice with no reply. Don't know how I managed that. My bad BD

Not me either. That's also why Diablo 3 implemented another item that elimnates town portal scrolls. I cant remember its name but it allows you to travel back to town. It's a multiple-use item but it requires a few seconds of uninterrupted casting time to use. I hope poe has some similiar mechanic. It will make travelling much easier. EDIT: I'm also having some problems with the quoting just now. Last edited by Xenophobe#6315 on Sep 28, 2011, 2:19:32 PM

As others have said, impossible to say without having an opportunity to play all three. I can say from seeing the totalbisquit video of this game, that I will for sure be giving it a good hard look as soon as I have the opportunity.
POE looks to have good potential, and I absolutely LOVE the idea of of the massive skill tree. Here's hoping I get a chance to see the beta. If not, I guess I'll be waiting for release. ----------------------------

Path of Exile looks a lot more enjoyable than Diablo 3, but I haven't tried either game. I gotta say that I like the look of POE more than D3 though.

Well in my opinion, Torchlight was too "cartoony" for my taste. I guess I'm not much interested in Torchlight 2.
I was a HUGE fan of the Diablo series...that is, until DiWoWblo 3 popped up. I'm pretty disenchanted with the direction they went with that thing. I don't even want to rehash my numerous gripes with that game *sighs* One thing I can say, after a week into the PoE beta -- this game is really shaping up to be a great one! The creepy atmosphere and vibe (in my opinion) is one of the many things that stand out here. Gameplay is solid (even in closed beta state). The skill-gem variety and the strategies involved with plotting out your character course through that GIGANTIC passive skill tree is big, BIG fun! However the chips stack up, when all of these titles are finally released, will be very interesting to see. Right now (at least from my seat), this little Indie title is going to make some serious noise! Get ready guys, this show is going to be a good one! |

Just finished playing the diablo 3 beta. I will be taking time off from work when it is finally released. I will not be doing so with POE. As cool as POE looks, nothing will every compare to the diablo series. Doesn't matter how long they take to make a game....blizzard doesn't screw around. Diablo 3 is one of the smoothest most polished games I have ever played and there are still months left in the development stage.

I also love this Flask system in PoE. I like seeing alternatives to Potion spamming, and really hope Torchlight someday also takes some more innovative steps to getting rid of it.
I run the Runic Games Fansite, and one thing I know from my analytics charts is that every time Blizzard screws something up with Diablo, or even when they don't and just get a lot of headlines, our visitors count skyrockets. When the auction house was announced RGF gained something like 40% more traffic in a day, and when the beta started it jumped back up about 30%. I would imagine that the Diablo factor can only be helping the PoE community get recognition as well, especially since people are actually playing the game now. |

It was always diablo. Idk though, maybe I'll get to try this game and pick it. Doubt it though.

I personally don't like where D3 is going. It looks too cartoony for my taste... like WoW and WC3. Their art direction is just so distasteful to a game like Diablo. Not only that, but buying items with real money? And Blizzard takes a CUT!? WTF... It's almost like item hacking. Renders PvP useless... a regular lvl 1 user against a lvl 1 user that bought epic equipment, it's just awful.
