My, I hope your enthusiasm last cause it's a quite a long way to the actual release of the game. Keep it up then :)

PoE AND Torchlight 2 > Diablo 3, but that's just my personal preference! I'm not saying Diablo 3 will be god awful, mind you. I'm just saying I feel PoE and Torchlight 2 will be a lot more enjoyable for me. :P
Ever vigilant, ever patient.

If I can play Torchlight 2 without going comatose from boredom, it will be an improvement.

As much as I hate to say it, D3 will do very well because even the D2 fans that aren’t that into D3 will buy a copy. Perhaps in the hope that the game stacks up more than what the beta shows.
That said, as covered by several people in this thread, they are for a different player base. From what I have seen PoE is going to have more scope to it and it will cater for end game. Whereas D3 will be a case of, ok finished it, let’s start again on a harder mode. As for which turns out to be the better game...time will tell but for once Blizzard certainly has some very stiff competition to compete with. Give em hell GGG! D3 will be a huge success, it will be impossible to beat the reputation of Blizzard and the Diablo-Franchise. They are more or less free to do anything with that game.
What is at stake is the longterm impact on Hack&Slay gaming and Blizzard games. That's where PoE and Torchlight come in. They are given the chance to show players that the path Blizzard chose for D3 is not just the only path, but a very controverse path. For example, I am pretty sure that the RMAH will be a mess, among other things. But PoE and Torchlight can only succeed in time. For the first couple of months, there will be nothing else than D3, simply because it's D3. |

Knowing Blizzard, D3 will most likely come quite a ways after too many hours have been spent on torchlight II/POE...

" I think the real money auction house is a great idea, actually. Take a look at how many item shops there are for D2, or consider the fact that the third biggest forum on the internet is based on a premium Diablo 2 bot, and people still willingly part with cash for a currency they can use to buy Diablo item. Clearly, there's a large market of people willing to spend real money on items, and Blizzard have been smart enough to realise it and to try to capitalise on the market, while giving players a safe way of buying and selling gear. I still don't understand why people are so against it :/ As far as the wider topic, I never got on well with the original Torchlight, so I'm not holding my hopes for #2, but PoE looks like a natural progression for ARPG's. It almost looks like a cross between the mechanics of Diablo and those of Sacred. |

" Because it rewards people who have large(r) bank accounts, and yes, I am a serious enough gamer that it bugs me if some douche with a massive bankroll has gear equal to mine even though he didn't invest the same amount of time in-game for it. |

Most people here seem to think that you have to choose one or the other, have you ever thought that you might like both/all three? To me they all look like good games and I will most likely play or atleast try them all out.
