Until now, I've relished in the fact that the anti-ffa people were the ones with the abusive argument tactics for the most part and that took away from their argument. So it pains me to see someone with a reasonable perspective end their point with such a low class statement.

Get off the internet if you can't handle other people sharing their opinion.

I don't see how anyone can claim that this game will survive if the 75% "casual" audience slowly goes away. They might have initial funding, but that will eventually run out, and since there is no cost of entry and no cost for content, long-term success relies on the viability of the shop. I don't see any reason for anyone playing solo to buy anything from the shop, and another portion of people that play in a group will just get tired of losing loot to lower latency.

why would 75 of audience go away ? because you dont like the loot distribution ?
I think It would be nice if I could set the instance for how many player I wanted (2-6) while playing solo so that I can choose to at by myself but still get better loot albeit the mobs will be far harder.

I'm not a giant fan of the loot system mostly because I suck at being a ninja but playing with people on a regular basis can solve most of the problem other then that I love this game
Just my 2 cents
My best solution to this is play with friends or play solo.

Or is there some magical effect you NEED too play in a group with these so called ninja's you people keep speaking off ? Why in the world are you people annoying yourself with stuff like this grouping up with strangers even though you DO NOT have too and then be surprised people take "your" loot ?

Really this is a serious question: why do you want too play with strangers even when you know most of the time people will so called "ninja" "your" loot.

Because somewhere around 75% of the population of the moment is what a lot of people on these forums define as "casuals", casuals that don't want to have to start over their characters in order to survive the more difficult half of the game. Add on the people who don't like the loot system, plus the people that will get bored once the end-game grind comes.

D2 actually didn't have that large of a market share overall. What it did have was a FANATICAL fanbase, rather than an exceptionally large one. And it was certainly not the most popular multi-player for years.
Still confused why it can't be a party option. Turn pure FFA on by default and have a timer and how long you want that timer to last as an option.

Edit: What I am basically asking is can someone define what a hardcore game is to me? Like IE is it a game that takes a crap load of time to beat. A game that takes 100 deaths to beat? An online game that anything you do with someone else can be griefed? All of these things combined maybe?

I like the timer thats not what I am trying to say, but have like a slider to choose how long that lasts. Whether it be 5 seconds to a minute. That way if someone misses the loot I can still take it.

It's theory based on experience.. We went through this sooo many times already.. Hellgate, AoC, Warhammer online, Diablo 3, SWTOR just name of few with biggest names.. If something is discussed in such a big scale like this issue...there is a real problem and there is a really danger of loosing big part of the playerbase.. We know the symptoms .. also ..in every single case of failed game..there was always people like you ..telling other people "Go away" or "You don't have any evidence about this and that"...yet..everytime it ended in same way..

This is not Diablo.. Diablo 3 already earned money for few another years of existence and development...so they have time to fix their game..make expansions etc.. but GGG started earn money pretty recently. They were donated by awesome folks with awesome bag of gold for sure.. but it will run out pretty soon unless game will be supported by masses.

Noone wants remove this cut-throat feel from hardcore players..let them enjoy in their way..many palyers just want to enjoy game differently. In separate league if needed..they don't care..but market is saturated with so many awesome games..that they wont hesitate to quit this game for good if nothing will change.. you know who will suffer?? They don't ..but you..supporters of current systems and who are against options .. you will be watching this game to sink.

But keep telling us there is nothing wrong.. that there are hundreds and hundreds pages of loot system discussion..and many threads are created every day about this issue..that means nothing..yea..because players are not leaving... I am only one left still playing this game..and we were 6 friends at the start of open beta..

Because, unless you have real-life friends playing, you need to play a decent number of random groups in order to find someone decent to group with, if you ever find someone that plays when you do (assuming you play consistently). Otherwise there is a large portion of time required to get the required amount of "friends" needed. The problem with playing solo is that for a certain group of people, the game will just become too boring, and that the best possible end game gear is only possible in the group because of the increase that comes along with the difficulty increase. Also, group is the only way to get over certain challenges that might be impossible alone with your specific build or play-style (exasperated by the lack of respecs)

It doesn't make much sense to just say, if you don't like group play, go solo, because not everyone wants to do solo.
