I really hope GGG don't change looting from FFA to instanced. Lot's of spam about this but FFA is great system, some people just don't get it.

Do these posters even read the dev announcements and postings or just spam post this crap?

We have been internally discussing community feedback on topics such as looting options and damage displays.
Translation: They're considering the best options.
Now STFU and play the beta for awhile. I've never seen devs as responsive as this, so give them some breathing room.

I see no problem with options. I dont like instanced loot but I think that we should have the options to have the following settings
-Increased Loot Timers
-Free for All with no timers
-Infinite Duration Timers (no ninja looting here)
-Round Robin (drops are given to players in order, player 1 gets a rare, that player waits till all players have gotten a rare till he is eligible again)
I dont like instanced loot, that makes it feel very much like a single player game. I think what they currently have in place works well, but some options would be nice to accomodate all playstyles.

I should revise my above post to say three fanboys. At any rate, you'll care when the game shuts down sue to a lack of funding due to a lack of interest in anything cosmetic when none plays in groups anymore.
Lol, lack of funding... $2.2M in closed beta alone.
There's a small group of us doing a very large proportion of the spending.
One player putting in $500 and buying anything that ever hits the cash shop is generating literally infinitely more revenue than someone who spends nothing and is just an extra port for a server to support.
Look at you, trying to threaten us with a hypothetical future that doesn't even survive its own premise. Hilarious...

Im ffa hater and i feel disgusted by your thread.
You purposely close your eyes on all they did in this game and you act spoiled by wawing your money and saying if you dont improve this single small piece of otherwise great game you wont get any money from me. I can bet you wouldnt pay them anyway, anything.

I'll answer your question with another OP
Why do you believe the Casual players should be regarded in a higher favor than the more hardcore ones? Money? that seems to be the rallying cry of the casual when demanding such core changes to a game "Make it so my grandma can play it and you'll be rich!" Is that it? Well, I got news for you a game doesn't have to cater to the casual market to make a profit. so there goes that argument so again why should the devs cater to you and abandon their vision of the game? Obviously from the amount of supporters and players and the replies to this and many other topics like it, many people are just fine with the system. So what makes you so special? Why can you not allow us to keep this game the way we like it, and for many of us the BIGGEST reason we supported it. can you not see how even this so called "option" dilutes that?
The reason I ask this is the swarm of casual players demanding core mechanic changes that come around seems to just happen in every game these days. "I can only play in 30 second bursts this isn't fair!" "I dont like this game, make all these changes so i will!" Its tiring and annoying to see this group of people follow us to every game and ruin it. Yes we do get defensive and sometimes step out of line but with good reason. We have watched you so called casuals destroy just about everything we loved about the games of old and for once we thought we found our bastion of hardcore gaming but when we see this happening all over again your damn right we will defend ourselves and not give in as we know from experience once you give the casuals an inch they go a mile. It wont stop with FFA loot and by the end of it we'll all be left with a shell of a game that was once something to be treasured.
The game does not adapt to you, you adapt to it.

You make some good points and I agree with you. It is also hilarious that the two fanboys above can't construct a valid argument against what you've said.
Do you even know my opinion? Or does my supporter title come with a free pro-ffa opinion?
To be clear, i dont care either way.

Those arent core mechanic changes by any amount of imagination, and no one is requesting instanced loot, at least majority isnt as i am aware. All were requesting is an option for timer increase on items.

Changing how loot is given out in a loot based game is not a core mechanic?
Shit I am playing the wrong game.
Increased timer is about the worst thing you could do. The timer already slows the game too much.
If they are going to change anything they should just make it pure FFA or Pure individual group option.
The game does not adapt to you, you adapt to it.

This is a really good suggestion, actually, and makes both sides happy (or SHOULD) without compromising the core vision of the game.
