Congratulations on making SP game.

Let me weigh in here before the hate train gains too much speed (and I ask again, what the hell is wrong with a community that claims to love a game and want it to flourish, and then flame the living shit out of anyone who makes a suggestion?)

I understand the desire for instanced loot, and I also understand (and applaud) GGG's insistence of sticking to a very strict vision for their game. FFA loot is designed to make the world feel more competitive and cut-throat, and it obviously does that very well.

All that being said, have the "instanced loot" folks ever considered that instanced loot multiplies the amount of loot dropped by however many players are playing in a party? And that maybe the game isn't balanced around those kinds of numbers? And that changing FFA to instanced loot would maybe, kind of, I don't know, break the game?

It's something worth considering. Keep calm and carry on.

It doesn't if they reduce the drop rate by 1/party members. And how about a need/greed roll system? That gives it at least some sort of order. Its not that difficult to implement either of those.

And for the rest of you, if you feel like your opinions have been established elsewhere, why do you even post in here without anything constructive to say? Or at least post a link to your answer? No, you insist on posting with absolutely no purpose, if you want to see these threads go away, just ignore them. There rest of us will actually add something to the discussion.

Umm probably because it's been argued to death. Most of us that have been here are sick to death of it.

Most of the claims some of you people make are just EH. It's like really? What drugs are you on because I want some of that lol.

Game is going to fail sky is falling oh noes!

Yeah maybe you should take a look at how many supporters the game got before it went open. Sorry but the handful of you guys crying at your keyboards are few and fair. Just forums tend to attract them for whatever reason.

I hate Generation Entitlement thank god I'm older.

Yeah usually I'm not a dick but lately I'm sick of seeing all the tears. Get a tissue man up and play the game for crying out loud.

Sad part is my daughter is 3 and cries less then most of the QQ here. Blows my mind.

Guess I'll head over to the gas station demand they give me premium for the same price as regular, and while I'm at it tell them to only carry my favorite pop from now on OR ELSE!

Oh and I do not want to buy 3 2-liters for 3.33 I want one and at the discount price.

I should revise my above post to say three fanboys. At any rate, you'll care when the game shuts down sue to a lack of funding due to a lack of interest in anything cosmetic when none plays in groups anymore.

Lol, lack of funding... $2.2M in closed beta alone.

There's a small group of us doing a very large proportion of the spending.

One player putting in $500 and buying anything that ever hits the cash shop is generating literally infinitely more revenue than someone who spends nothing and is just an extra port for a server to support.

Look at you, trying to threaten us with a hypothetical future that doesn't even survive its own premise. Hilarious...

You and economics..you are not big friends right? Hilarious is your claim my friend..

Game is based on microtransactions ..microtransactions works only if tons of players are playing and paying..if PoE will lost most of their current playerbase..thse guys who will pay 500$ wont keep it above the water..because there will be not enough of them.. this is fact..not theory...or hypothesis..

It's not about threatening ... I love this game as much as you do.. I want them to succeed as much as you do. But I understand when they will keep their premise ..that they are doing game for hardcore crowd and hardcore crowd only..this game wont survive these 10 years..probably not even 2..

I'll add my 2 cents. FFA loot is the single biggest factor in why I won't play multi-player and I doubt I and the TC are alone in that regard. Some people enjoy the FFA loot system and that's fine, but lashing out against those who don't like it is ridiculous.

This might be a great candidate for a party-creation option if GGG ever had the resources to do that so that everyone could get the method they prefer.

I see no problem with options. I dont like instanced loot but I think that we should have the options to have the following settings

-Increased Loot Timers
-Free for All with no timers
-Infinite Duration Timers (no ninja looting here)
-Round Robin (drops are given to players in order, player 1 gets a rare, that player waits till all players have gotten a rare till he is eligible again)

I dont like instanced loot, that makes it feel very much like a single player game. I think what they currently have in place works well, but some options would be nice to accomodate all playstyles.

I think that GGG will eventually have to implement different loot options. There's no reason that multiple systems can't coexist - players will end up grouping up with similarly minded people. There doesn't have to be too many options though (pretty much your suggestions minus the round robin option):

- Pure FFA (no timers)
- The current system
- Fully instanced loot (but all loot is seen by everyone; it's just permatagged)

This doesn't harm players that like the current system - in fact, you can make the current system the default, and require groups to agree/vote to change to a different method. Everybody gets what they want, and nobody feels forced to play single player just because of ninja looters.
I will personally pay the money you'd lose from this 1 idiot, and any other idiot that thinks they can make this game shitty by threatening to not pay for cosmetics. The idea is laughable.

This game is GOOD.
Instanced loot BREAKS the game in HUGE ways.

Loot is calculated by last hit, and with support gems, sometimes even which spell killed each mob.
Lets say I have 500% rarity and 200% quantity.
If I last hit a mob and it drops a Unique and 4 yellows and 20 blues BECAUSE of my build that I specifically built to be more profitable. I tell you right now I'll be taking whatever the hell I want.

I don't see how this is an insult. They spent money to support a company that made a game they love...and that's bad? There's no need to construct another argument when the devs have addressed this not only in TODAY'S announcement but also in previous posts. See: The 300-something page looting thread. Or you could just do a little bit of searching on the forums for developer responses on this topic.

This just gets old really quick, and these types of threads aren't productive at all.
FWIW - 10K^3 threads on the subject will not make things go any faster.

Try posting in existing threads.
In other games - you get a cookie whether you win or lose. PoE not only takes your cookie and eats it in front of you, it slaps you upside the head a few times for bringing a cookie in the first place.

I'm not one of those autistic kids in these forums who like to post wall of texts, I didn't read any of your shitposting just play the game and if you have feedback post it in the right sub
I also find the "slowing down" the game argument hilarious. The only thing you can do to guarantee you get something you need is to loot everything, otherwise you will lose it to someone else. In a game where you can't un-do your decisions easily, with all this emphasis on thinking through pretty much permanent passive-tree decisions, it doesn't make sense to make gear split-second decisions.
