Is POE doing enough to counter the D3 ROS hype?
" 2 years of farming shit not to learn the game. I have give it up because the boring crafting system, rng, trade simulator, unbalanced pvp and gems and the fuking drops. Its a miracle i played 2 years. Hope Grim Down will be better. Have fun Poe Expansion will not change anything. http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2013/076/7/0/trafalgar_law___room__by_niklaswirths-d5ycuxx.jpg

I have not traded anything and in merciless. I don't look at other ppls gear so I don't know if I missing out on "good drops" but I have craft and drop everything I need so I have no problems with that. If drops are too good then you are like God and that gets old really fast. Try Diablo 3 console to see what I mean. I finish game in three weeks and was in god mode.

"It's not about Bis. Gear progression comes to a screeching halt at around lvl 70. From there on you either keep grinding without upgrades or you go the way of the shopping. I've grinded to almost level 89 and the last sidegrade I found was at level 78 (sidegrade as in I gave up some elemental resist for accuracy). You CAN get to level 100 or to level 78 maps solo-self found, it's not gonna be fun or entertaining, though. Last edited by desrocchi#0556 on Feb 19, 2014, 6:49:37 AM

" Your two weeks in-game experiences are appreciated, but problem is, that you will understand complaints from this topic when you will have year and two weeks in-game. I personally pre-ordered RoS and I'm going to run it with my favorite witch doctor. I bet it will be refreshing experience after year in PoE. But still going to play PoE, I don't see any problem with playing both games. Anticipation slowly dissipates...

I like how after much pondering on what type of trade system they would implement after their auction houses were removed, they finally settled on "lets just remove trading completely" and made anything worth anything (including anything that could be used as currency) bind on pick-up.
I am honestly confused by the decisions blizzard make. I think they went to the same marketing school as Microsoft at this point. Last edited by Asmosis#7365 on Feb 19, 2014, 7:06:03 AM

"They didn't have much choice. If the didn't make all that's worthwhile BoA, they would have opened the doors to 3rd party RMT (like we have in PoE ATM). If they had kept the AHs they would have had thrown Diablo's reputation even more in the crapper than what it already is. Sure, they may have had financial reasons to take down the AHs, I think it's still a better idea than having a trading system dominated by bots, flippers and scammers. PoE's trading promised to be the keystone to a system that allowed free trade keeping away all the downsides, it obviously didn't deliver. |

" If your highest char is lvl 60, you're still in the honeymoon phase. P.S. You will never have to worry about drops being too good in PoE. Or being any good, for that matter. 177 Last edited by toyotatundra#0800 on Feb 19, 2014, 7:44:11 AM
