Of course it should be that way! If I play the game and use TIME on it, I should be rewarded accordingly, AS IS THE CASE.
Somebody is just mad because he can't get the best of the best items with a snap of a finger. Now do us all a favor and go back to the D3 forums where you came from.
Ok so you are assuming all the people that have complained did not put the required time in?
There are people that have spent thousands of hours grinding away to find nothing of value in this game. I hate an easy game, its why i enjoy POE so much, but when you are not being rewarded for playing the actual game and the flippers/RMT people are the ones reaping the rewards then perhaps it's time for a change.
Also you should probably go back to the MMO you came from. :)

I think we need a POE specific Godwin's law. With time, all discussions achieve 100% chance to invoke Diablo 3.
Diablo 3 is literally (POE's) hitler.
Well, with time all discussions are also invoking a "change" to the game according to the OP's or other posters personal tastes; then these tastes are condivided/argued by others.
To me it just seems none wants to adapt to games anymore. It seems everyone wants a game that fits his own personal tastes, or else is crap. This imo is not only wrong, but just impossible.

Well said. I'm very happy with the current state of the game, that's why I despise people who constantly try to change the status quo for their personal needs.

Well, POE's problem is that Diablo 2 exists. People have already experienced near perfection.
Same problem with legend of zelda OOT and every subsequent legend of zelda.
They're nice copies, but fail to grasp what made the first one great, as usually, the first one was made by accident and not fucked around with too much after release.
It's why these discussions will go on and on until the next Diablo 2 clone appears and everybody moves over to that one. Where we shall discuss once more why that game isn't as good as D2.
Vote +1 to change Path of Exile to Path of Nerfs.
We hate to say, but ProjectPT was right.

Oh people adapt. The questions though are: Is the game "fine"? Yes. Could it be better? Also "Yes". Am i allowed to voice my concerns about what i don´t like or what i think would be better for the game, in the forum? Again "Yes". So what´s your point?
What can never be lent or earned?
Somewhat, that devours everyone and everything:
A tree that rush. A bird that sings. It eat bones and smite the hardest stones.
Masticate every sword. Shatters every shrine. It defeat mighty kings and carry mountains on lightly wings.
What am i?

and a huge pile of useless crap. All of my gear is 4-linked.
The drop rates are absurd. I don't know why I do this to myself. There are much better ways to waste time.
Then you go and do those other ways. Let us who are fine with the game and droprates and everything enjoy it as it's supposed to be enjoyed. Stop trying to change the game to your personal needs when it's not gonna happen.
I wholeheartedly agree with you on the drop rates and I'm self found so that's saying something but I am curious how you perceive GGG releasing all these uniques that you'll probably never get to see drop for yourself. Doesn't that on some level make those new uniques then feel like an empty gesture?
Eh? It is pretty obvious that we have entirely different ideas of how to enjoy ARPG's. Having next to nonexistant droprates for uber endgame is great for me, it gives me a long-term goal to reach.

People who get mad at other people for using a gaming forum to provide feedback and discuss game mechanics, as is intended, is such a LOL!
Emotions above reason, yea welcome to the internet..

So long as PoE remains as unrewarding as it is, it will not attract as many players as it could, simply because the gameplay is not fulfilling enough. Still a great game, but you need to go no-lifer just to get the very basic items required for a properly competitive build, and that is where many lose interest.
It takes around 1.5k+++ hours before you have completed the circle of just feeling one character has reached near completion to the point you are satisfied and want to try something else because of that.
Due to that raw time restriction, very few players get to experience more than a very few builds to a satisfying level of their potential, and so being restricted to a small part of the game's potential it is less interesting, in particular when it is a game focused around freedom of choice.
Only flippers, people who do not care about constantly selling their items on all characters so that they can focus their entire wealth on one character while gaming nonstop, those who play in full organized groups and those who spend every waking hour of their time on poe get to experience the fullness of the game.
That is why PoE has so low player numbers in a genre we know has potential for many times greater player bases.
1500 hours .. sheet i was happy with my guy in nemesis after like 2-3 weeks . i must have a shitload of hours per day.

Did you miss-quote me? Sarcasm? Not sure what you mean about 'entirely different ideas of how to enjoy arpg's'.

No.
People adapt
!=
People forcibly adapt, but keeps whining and keeps thinking that their bad gaming experience is shared by every other player. Because hey, game is crap for me! it MUST be crap for you all too!
My point? enjoy the game as it is. Stop posting infinite whines with the convinction that solving your own QQ is the best way to change the game for everyone or for this famigerate "majority".
I'm perfectly fine with costructive threads like:
"a suggestion to endgame" "suggestion: new orb" "suggestion: a new way of crafting" "how to fix desync" "what do you guys think about my idea of map system improvements"
But i'm totally against THESE kind of threads:
" we want AH" " without AH game will suck" "trade works this way so it's crap" "the reason players are quitting is X" "Puncture killed me it needs nerf" ecc. ecc. ecc.
See my point now?
And now *DON'T KILL ME* i prefer PoE over D2 (apart PvP sice ofc)
