So frustrating that the same mistake is repeated in every D2 clone

Didn't get a unique.

Diablo 2 learned this lesson a decade ago, that the game just isn't as fun or good as it could be if you don't get good items. Torchlight 2 and LoD have the balance perfect, you'll get a unique at least once every act, probably more if you know where to look and you'll be getting awesome items fairly frequently.

Fairly good game overall but it seems like they'll put uniques behind a paywall like D3 if they're this rare.

sorry but you are a clueless noob

diablo2 had the worst drop rates ever, and i was extremely "rich" in that game and had hundreds of high runes sitting on accounts and yet i never ever found one or even seen one drop despite playing a LOT (mostly pvp and trading but whatever)

i know some people who played on private servers where there was no duping and there were only a few enigmas on the whole server, of course not that many people played but still

POE has much better drops than diablo2, in this game you get rich from what you find as well as making good trades, in diablo2 you just had to trade your ass off to get anywhere

Hah! a D2 veteran lets dance is your mind hazey or some shit? Pindleskin Mephisto Baal? Yada yada they always dropped stuff uniques raining and once in a blue moon. A god tier item comes out of their ass. Was your MF good? Perfect charms yada yada? I got good shit every hour especially from Pindleskin

Now try it here what do you get? Hm Farming Dominus like I've been doing for a very long time to a few maps? Once in a blue moon RNG takes pity. Shit unique after shit unique which I give away and hours of frustration compared to D2? I'll take LoD

Pidleskin MF bot, 8 accounts running at once, then switch to countess botting for runes. Botting in d2 was the ONLY way to get rich. Or even hell forge rush your dummy accounts for runes.

I didn't bot =) I just enjoyed it fuck I was like a little kid lol hell I do it here 24/7 dominus farm.

Once in a blue moon RNG takes pity it wasn't the only way to get rich I mean yes lots of ppl did bot the only remote thing I ever used in terms of D2 was map hack that's it and autograb yep still remember that shit.

i have done very few dominus runs, probably 5-6 hours in total and found things worth a few exalts and so did other people in the party

in diablo2 you just don't find anything, you not knowing this is normal as most people were "pvm noobs" or "mf noobs", ppl like you mfed and 1 out of 1000 found a good bow or something and then sold it for 1/1000 of the price, and that's how some got rich

sure you'd find some "good" items like a shako or something, items that are very useful but have very little value, i guess poe doesn't have its own version of a shako or wizardspike but on the other hand you can mf your way to very good gear

Not sure if you're trolling, drunk, lying about playing D2, or all 3. How many times would you find a complete Sigon's set by level 40 when playing through D2 on a new char? Like 50%? How often do you find a single unique in the first 2 difficulties of PoE? Like 50%?

2 hand weapons cap out at around 900 dps. What are the odds of finding a 400 dps weapon in PoE? Less than half of BiS. 1 in 500 hours played? That's is more than bad, it's laughable. How hard was it to find a weapon with half of the best potential dps in D2? So common that we didn't even pick them up.

D2 had incredible drop rates, and what happened when all the duped runes and items hit LoD, making the availability to godly items accessible to everyone? The game was reborn again, and the player base hit an all time high. The more liberal the drop rates got, and the more people that played. It was fun having 10 badass chars with silly builds(like shout barbs and auradins). What isn't fun is crushing out 800 hours on 1 char to still be using a weapon that literally isn't half of what full potential weapons can be, and dropping 100 Exalted into crafting 1 item that still isn't usable.

Aw shit Ngio I'll let you take it from here.

you said the magic word imbecile, "dupes"

first of all there was more duping in the beginning, there were times when you could google a dupe method and after some time only very very few ppl could do it and they made tones of money anyway that's another story, there was never any resurgence of duping because it was always there

but drop rates are horrible, ppl had items cause of duping not cause of mfing

Hahah, I saw you battling a "white knight of rhetoric", so I thought that I'd lend a hand. Can't have one of the only forumers here that I like get jumped by the army of casuals.
it's funny to me to see that after all these years the mf noobs are still mf noobs, truly remarkable
Getting rich in d2 amounted to abusing the shit out of d2jsp or botting non stop.
