So frustrating that the same mistake is repeated in every D2 clone
Farm bosses, run lots of IIR, youll be vendoring uniques because you cant give them away. If you are unique hunting, you have to min max for the best results.
Bosses are guaranteed loot pinatas and quick and easy to get to. HAIL SATAN!

" Thanks for the info. I was afraid you were going to say something like this that you must play 100s of hours per good rare or unique drop. Damn these arpg devs. Same reason I quit D3 is the same reason I'm burning out on PoE. 100s of hours of time played and extremely little to show and enjoy for my efforts. Sigh! :( If it weren't for the passive tree and build diversity I'd be finished with PoE too. At 1 year and 3 months PoE has held my attention for the longest but even my enjoyment and reasons to keep grinding are running out. I know there are all levels of arpg playing skills but damn, I don't keep exact track of my playing time but at about 25 hours a week that means I might see a good rare or unique drop about once a month. This isn't much better than the crap that D3 was dishing out (never got a set item to drop in D3 for about 500 hours played). Maybe RoS will change things for the better for the time limited arpg player. There must be a better way to make an arpg that doesn't prevent time limited arpg fans from enjoying the full game. I know that all uber players are loving PoE (and probably D3 too) since they are mostly young and have lot's of time to play but the rest of the "real life" players who can only squeeze in a few hours a day to play are left out once again. GGG could make a casual league if it weren't for the constant drumming of "more hardcore" that is ever present. I know GGG devs love the grind but damn, there are millions of "would be" PoE players if the time sink wasn't so steep. GGG is certainly passing over a ton of new players and new revenue by keeping the grind factor so extreme. "You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration. The perfect solution to fix Trade Chat: www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2247070 |

" I quit playing again about a week ago. Even for the 12 hour a day losers like myself, it's too much. I don't mind grinding, as long as I am progressing. As a solo player in Nemesis, 12 hours a day just isn't enough, and I can't give any more.
Why you playing solo?
Why you should try Harcore http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/209310/page/1

" I just prefer it. I like to farm my way at the speeds that I like. I know that it's not really an option in PoE, and that's a large part of why I quit again. The grind I don't mind, but a Korean MMO grind based on partying, trading, and economies just isn't fun. I play games to have fun :D Last edited by nGio#1658 on Jan 21, 2014, 8:09:10 AM

" Is it really hard to believe that there's a big part of player base that prefers solo play over party play? Why am I playing games in my home? Why don't I play them in the "gaming clubs"? Because |

" Public games is crap and I only have 2 friends that are into arpg games and they are even more casual a player than I am. So it's mostly solo for me. Yes, I am clearly aware that group players earn XP and get more drops faster because clearing maps is faster but that's a GGG play balance fault and not exclusively my fault for playing solo. simple uniques are cheap and sold for 1 chaos mostly. I personally vendor common uniques because cant be bothered.

" But you made it well into the 80s that way. It seems quite possible. At 79, I can solo just fine and get XP, too, which will slow down at 85, but ... why is that such a huge issue? It's not the fastest, or the most profitable, but unless you aim for 100 or for a high ladder spot, why can't it be fun?

" Why do you speak if you are not asked? Why do you imply things to a question if there is no implication at all. Or I would have wrote down more if I wanted to add more. A.W. ... Thx for the reply, I appreciate it. I play for the same reasons solo if I play solo. My own speed. Why you should try Harcore http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/209310/page/1
