Rift Between Player Types

It's not that they actively try to prevent people... It's a by product of trying to make more money.
You want a self found league all you have to do is simply use only WHAT YOU FIND.

OBviously, you are too worried about keeping up with the Jones, so you cant do that in a current league.

When you stop worrying about others and plan for your own fun and enjoyment and stop trying to be cool. Maybe you'll have more fun.

No reason for GGG to create a seperate league to cater to crybabies.

If they ever did add a SFL it needs to be totally HC and twice as hard as Nemesis was.

That's what makes me hate being a college student. Until I graduate and have a career I have to let them do what they want to keep me and everybody else under their power. I've done a ton of research of how overall Wal-Mart is just a terrible terrible corporation economically, ecologically and so on. Yet, I have to shop there since it is the only thing I can afford until I have a real career. Here is hoping my ideal job isn't taken out of clinics and put into Wal-Marts.... Or clinics being part of Wal-Marts.

Playing selffound is nearly impossible atm because of the horrbile dropps.
If GGG would add a selffound league, they could raise the dropprates for that one, so the players could then:

a) Find more loot

Which results in:

b) More loot, they can use
c) More loot, they can Vendor

Which then results in:

d) More currency to do serious crafting

So what's the prob in that?

Very first player never traded. Stopped at lvl 70. Wanna know why? RNG. Self-found without better drop rates I might as well just stop playing because once you are at Merci act 3 there is no more self-found league unless you farm piety for weeks and you better have some darn good mf to make that move along quicker. How do you get good MF? Farming more. Endless cycle of boredom.

If at any given point within an economy there is X amount of wealth, and some people draw that wealth to them, they are actively preventing the other part of that economy from reaching there status.

It's not really a by product or an accident.

In the same sense, if the wealth X where divided in equal parts for every player, nobody would be wealthy. What most people call an utopia.

The end-game promotes drawing the wealth to you, since it rely's heavily on that to climb the ladder, so utopia can never be realized.

Just like in real life.

If you post a 6-link for sale on trade chat you are immediately hit by a few messages. Most of them ask a price. A few of them make a lowball offer, and every now and then 1-2 are serious about buying it. Everyone wants a deal. This is not something specific to this game. Stop treating it like it is.

Post a B/O then and save yourself and uninformed players the hassle of dealing with lowball offers.

I would like to express my gratitude that people like you still exist.

This little act does not make the community any better, really, still I would like to believe that "we" are not lost yet.

Few weeks ago, me and my friends had couple of lucky drops and for the first time since closed beta, we were able to peek into the "higher economy" world of PoE.

It is dark, ruthless and scary. Not all, but majority of traders there have the mindset "Stop wasting my time and GTFO" any time you have a reasonable question for them.

I can understand that they do a lot of deals and dont have time, but heck, writing down a set of minirules and then point everyone to them would make the world much better to all of us.

Personally, I do not care for the PoE economy anymore, we just play with what we can drop most of the time. The trading is so significantly exhausting here... maybe the lack of any trading other than person to person is doing this. Everybody is then just wasting extra time needlessly (instead of sending an item by post, you have to wait for the person to come online, then wait for it to stop mapping, then wait for it to find your a1n instance, then wait for it to find the item / currency... absolute efficiency nightmare). GGG please do something with the trading soon TM.

Cheers for your girlfriend, I hope you both enjoy your time in PoE. Dont let this get into you, the top tier traders just suck to be human, what can we do about it in the end.

The law of the jungle, survival of the fittest. The 1 %. The one´s that only trade in high amount of exalts. If u want something, go get it period. Dont cry about it just set your mind to it and u shall prevail! The one´s that will eat u up, spit u out and will not think a second of u.

"This is hardcore trading either u give me what i want or gtfo."
Still sane exile?

IUncreased drop rates don't mean you will find anything better than you currently do. RNG is RNG, unless you believe going from a .0008% chance to a .88% chance will make a difference for you.

In the long scheme of things it won't, and there will still be QQ. Play the game as is. Ive started from scratch more than 8 times HARDCORE and have leveled up to 80+ withoiut dying once, so obviously loot drops arent the problem.

This is wrong.

The only reason why people get frustrated with SF at the moment is because they compare themselves with non-SF players, which results in discontent.

If however there was a "SF-tag" people would be able to compare there progress with other "SF-tag" players to alleviate the discontent.

There is absolutely no need to bring "drop-rates" into this discussion.

Edit : sorry for derail OP, but i see this a lot like increased drop rates would fix the core issue for SF, it will not.
SF is already possible, players have proven this. It is just a whole other level of difficult, and people compare themselves with people taking the "easy-route" (traders)
