Theres no cure for stupid

If you come across a player who wants to sell an Exalted Orb for a Transmutation Orb do you:

a) Inform them that an Exalted Orb is worth 1,000s of Transmutes.
b) Jump on the guy, virtually forcing a Transmute in his mouth before he can leave.
c) Inform him that an Exalt is only worth a Wisdom Scroll, but since you like him, you'll give him 2.

Where does the concept of 'stupid' come into play in this scenario?

Baring in mind both the long-term and short-term consequences of any decision.

Isn't the issue more about 'morality' - to which, in an RPG setting, wouldn't it be great if characters had either good, evil or neutral auras which changed upon decisions like this!

Not doing your own research on an item before you sell it is.. Stupid.

Dont expect someone else to give you all the answers.

Hey man I traded my Mercedes for a Toyota because herpderp outside said it was a good deal. Fck usin my brain, herp derp is rich he clearly knows whats best.

Why wouldn't you expect someone else to give you all the answers? Isn't the whole point of education about actually giving people the answers - and then checking to see whether they remember them - education isn't about making people sit tests for subjects they know nothing about - unless the student is particularly stupid and has zero memory or zero listening skills, etc, you know, the 'normal' definition of 'stupid' - as in genuinely mentally deficient in a medical way.

and anyway, people don't tend to 'swap' car in real life - dealers give you a bum deal on part-exchange which negates the 'hassle' of a private sale - why the bizarre car analogy?
Deux, how does one learn prices in a barter economy that is evolving every second that passes?

Seriously, teach me masta :)
Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes
There is an easy way to learn market.
All you need is have 4 trade chats on 2nd monitor so you get as much info as possible when mapping.

After few days you should be able to see demand and supplies and predict market shifts.
