You lowballed someone and they responded very nicely with a "gl"?
Now you think there's an upper, middle, and lower class in this game?
Well of course there is...
It sounds like you were treated pretty darn well by the "top tier trader"...
Sorry but self found league will be D3 RoS...
I said that I never traded for 6 links before. Pretending to be somebody who is limited in knowledge in how to find proper prices. To a new person that I was pretending to be, I was not low balling. I was making an honest guess with the limited information I had. I'm sorry you think I was low balling. But it seems that if somebody will only accept offers and doesn't say a buyout it is because they hope people overpay and run off with the extra money trolololing all the way home. I make friends with brand new players on here all the time. I inform them of these things happening so they don't get ripped off like everybody else and quit.

Yes, and that's about the only reason I'm giving that game a second chance. As a game PoE is a lot better but the forced trading ruins the experience and all new leagues will be dominated by RMT users.
And D3 will be dominated by botters, it's obvious
You're SO clueless
If ROS is going to be a self-found league who cares about bots?

TL;DR: trading in this game sucks - unless you enjoy flipping items and hoarding e-riches, but then why not play EVE instead? You can even legally RMT in that game so it's not all for nothing.

That's it! If i get my items by just slashing creeps und having fun, i don't care if botters get their items quicker, who cares.
Path of Trading has great mechanics and it's a lot of fun, if your just playing, but then u hit the mighty wall in the late 60s and early 70s where no item you loot is a descent push for your char.
And then you're forced to trade with people, who think you want to lowball them, although you are just inexperienced and don't know it any better.
People should start to be a little nicer, eventually they get some good customers/co-players for the future then ;)

Isn't that the one where people can destroy the cargo ships that send rmt'd riches and it leaves you with nothing? Or am I thinking of another game?

Exactly the point of my experimenting. Thank you.

You do realize that even an uninformed lowball is still a lowball...
Dude, put yourself in the seller's position.
He has a limited time to play this game. He is trying to sell items while farming. Often times it is not worth it to take 5-10 minutes every time someone doesn't know pricing to explain to them the entire PoE economy. It's even worse when you do take them time and the person treats you poorly.
If you post a 6-link for sale on trade chat you are immediately hit by a few messages. Most of them ask a price. A few of them make a lowball offer, and every now and then 1-2 are serious about buying it. Everyone wants a deal. This is not something specific to this game. Stop treating it like it is.

Tl;DR it's just like in real life, this is what makes it so interesting. It should be no surprise that the supper rich do everything in there power to prevent everybody else from reaching there "status".
Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes

If there are limited number of people who can even afford these items then the number who are looking for that specific item is even smaller. If they are worried about people wasting their time. Why no buyouts listed so people know what they have to pay and make it quicker?
