Why GGG_Neon promote the PERMA freeze mobs and bosses?

Well, then mechanics for freeze proliferation will be completely different from burn, shock and chill proliferations. Or, whole elemental proliferation mechanics should be reworked. Elemental proliferation doesnt create new elemental effects on enemies, it just make every effect an AoE. I always suspected that such mechanics will allow perma-freezing, and indeed, we got it there.
So, either GGG leaves priliferation mechanics as it is, but makes it impossible to proliferate freeze...
either GGG changes proliferation mechanics so every direct hit causes elemental status effect not only on enemy hit, but also on all nearby enemies, as if they were hit by the same damage.

Actually, that IS the problem, right there. I use cold snap to the same effect, and it's balanced because eventually I will kill the surrounding mobs.


It isnt balanced, because you still disable a boss dealing inappropriate damage. It still eaves place for abuses, for example, freezing a mob with energy shield, waiting till his ES recovers, repeat (do it with 2-3 mobs, if one mob provides too short freeze).

But when freeze will ALWAYS be based upon mob's HP pool, it will be kinda hard to freeze boss permanently, because its HP pool is HUGE. So, unless you are doing crazy cold damage, you will be unable too permfreeze a boss. And doing crazy cold damage enough to freeze hard bosses requires serious investments, so it is (at least, in theory) balanced.

Wondering when people will find out about permastunning bosses in full groups and freaking out.

Any kind of so called "rebalance" will just make freeze mine useless again. Before release no one used it.

It got significantly buffed so it was actually used after release. That said coldsnap was the alternative before release and it worked similiarly. Just nodes like clever construction made this very viable.

It makes someone a pure support role in a group which I think is great instead of everyone going full DPS.

permastun significantly harder, it based of damage you do and enemy HP (so there can be condition, where you will NOT be able to stun, like boss with gazilion HP or map with enfeeble mod on players), while with freeze mine and prolif you can freeze gazilion HP enemy with help of white mobs around. kinda different shit. freeze mine is just a cheap abusing, that obvious, ggg just does not have balls to nerf it right now, since it would mean what staff used broken shit.
