Why GGG_Neon promote the PERMA freeze mobs and bosses?
" What's this got to do with "GGG_neon"? You think he should be some moral justice warrior on the internet and tell everyone not to use an intended mechanic just because he works for GGG? It needs a nerf but for now it's working as intended, get over it. Also, it's barely fucking promoted just because etup is streaming somebody else using it. Bosses need a generalized rebalancing.
Make them more available (I.E. killable) to more builds, but make them more resilient to certain effects and give them new abilities that make them more engaging/challenging. RAMPING UP DAMAGE x1000 is NOT a challenge. It is a piss poor way to gate out a LARGE majority of builds in a game where build choice is supposed to have meaning. |

How exactly it happens that boss is frozen permanently?
1. Freeze duration is based upon %hp taken by cold damage. So, to freeze bosses with cold damage, you should deal ridiculous amounts of damage, but if you do, then you will facemelt boss anyways in a very short time. So, everything is OK here. 2. Freeze mine deals no damage, but freezes as if it did. It's OK, and nothing to be nerfed there. 3. Elemental proliferation support proliferates elemental status effects upon AoE to nerby enemies. Wait... Does it means, that if we frozen a weak white mob with low HP pool with elemental proliferated damage, then all nearby enemies will be frozen for exactly the SAME period of time (ignoring 1.) ??? But that isnt fair, and obviously drives to perma-freezes, and should be fixed, of course. Maybe, just make that elemental proliferation will NOT proliferate freeze? I also agree, that some endgame map bosses (Dominus copies, Megaera, Piety copies, Vaal copy, Mervail copy, etc) provide unappropriate reward for their challenge. I dont complain that they are incredibly hard. In fact, i like challenges. But i also like to be rewarded appropriately, if i face and win challenges. But when i kill one of those bosses, i get just tiny amount of exp (compared to 10% loss in case i fail), and just few rares, usually useless. That is far, far NOT enough to encourage players killing those bosses (at least, in intended way). For such a challenge, those bosses should drop at least one map of same level, or even more maps, with some hard mods. " No, that wouldnt make sense. Make it so that proliferated freeze duration scales with HP. Anyway, id rather see they would balance bosses for a wider spectre of builds, not for some cheesy tactics. I'm unable to solo defeat Residence boss with my current chars (phase acro. + saffel, 80+ elem res, still get totally raped)... Guess what gem I'm levelling right now.
