Get rid of 1 Week Races

If you look at the winners of this race, most streamed. They weren't account sharing.
It is not wise for a business to condone an activity that poses a health risk, for both their security and the communities (offering a reward that requires you to deprive yourself of sleep to win is condoning)

I would be hesitant to request they remove one week races but i fail to see what they add to the game a 3-10 hour race does not.

All I did was something called "research". Look at any site on the effects of sleep deprivation and the outcome. Additionally, spare me the QQ shenanigans, it was made quite clear by the OP that he knows he isn't good at races and can't win. He is simply stating that what is going on is unhealthy.

As for those saying, "oh heck, I smoke, drink and drive and i'm safe, aint no gov'rn gonna control me" Well let's be very clear that we are ASKING for it as a community of people that CARE for each other as HUMAN BEINGS.

Of course, no legal issues will arise.

Of course people can do whatever they want. It's a free world.

All I'm asking is for people to take a step back and see what direction 1 week races are going in. If you honestly feel that being sleep deprived for a week, on several occasions throughout your playtime while playing Path of Exile is "OK" then by all means go for it.

I personally rather do short races and get a good nights sleep. ;)

Better call Philip Morris, AB, Coca Cola, Pepsi, and many others.

Cause their business practices, are apparently not wise....

good point, but i still do think that there can be a workaround to make races like these safer and less RNG/hours played based, without taking anything significant away from the community.

(i wouldnt say businesses that cause widespread obesity and health issues have good business practices either)

Exactly.
How about have a week long race that your allow to only put in 24 hours worth of play time, but you have a weeks time to do it....Something different....I still think keep the 1 week races cause ultimatly its your decision to play for that long not the company...Some of these guys that play make a living gaming..Its like telling someone you cannot work 18 hours in a day cause its not good for you...If you dont have the common sense to get up, walk around, eat food, then its your own fault..
If you can't or don't want to play it DON'T!!!!

There are other races for you. People can and will do whatever they want to. Quit trying to take away things from others.
Back to my question has GGG said they don't want account sharing?? sure in many games its bannable but I haven't actually seen them say it. Confirmation someone?

Has GGG ever said account sharing is bannable?(I have no idea if it is). Maybe they should make a tick option when make a char/acc.

"I plan to share this accounts with mates." < and then make it a ban if left unticked and it is shared.

Just a thought
:) =)

It's easy. Give the whiners a one week league which caps the amount of time played at let's say 3 hours a day max, disable grouping and trading and they have nothing to complain about. Oh wait, then they will complain about RNG or something else stupid.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
