I don't respec this post. Sorry bro but when I have valid points to make I make them. I don't just post things like "haha never you newb".

Either post your answer with good support or no support. I happen to have good support.

How can you try out all of these builds with 1 respec?

Slippery slope, give a mouse a cookie, etc. Slippery slope is a word I specifically heard Chris use in an interview discussing nerfing necromancers.

You can't set out to make money off of every video game player. Some people don't like ARPGs. Should the devs add football to the game? Maybe some guns, get some fps action? If their goal is to create a game that is hard, that appeals to the medium-hardcore ARPG crowd, then it is ok to cater to that crowd, no matter how small a population it is.

Even if it is a small percent of the total gaming population, it is a large percent of their target audience, and therefore the design of the game should reflect the interests of that community.

However, MAYBE a respec quest at the beginning of Cruel, something like choose either to respec now or gain 1 skillpoint or somesuch, might be ok.

There definitely needs to be more tutorial-esque tooltips, for the people new to the genre. What a gem is, where it goes, what links mean, how important defensive nodes are, etc.

Yes I agree with you. A lot of newcomers don't know that you can play for a lot of levels with 0 points invested.
Devs have already said that with major content/skill changes full respecs will be awarded when the trees are changed as it will effect everyone.

This game does not cater to casuals, and rewards those who plan out the life time of their character. You know how many respec points you are given as well as how many points are available to you. This game rewards those who are prepared and map out their journey ahead of time.

Plenty of time now to figure out what kind of a character you want to play and freely test it. You can spend a few days playing a character and get a feel for it to know whether it is for you or not.

I like having the availability to redistribute passives, but I don't want to see it as a cash shop item, but rather a limited availability option for potentially new players after beating normal. I find that normal is easy to just blow through and requires very little gear or investment, but for those who are new to the game getting the hang of the mechanics or learning how the game works it could take quite some time.

I introduced my little brother to the game and he thought that leveling was pretty slow, and I actually found it to be quite quick, but that was because we had two completely different view points. He also read through the skill tree and believed all the "critical strike nodes" worked like they do in other games where it just adds up on your character rather then being based off the current weapon. Only after a week or two of learning about the game I had a whole new outlook on it. Rewarding those early players who make some mistakes in skill choices will hold onto some of those "casual" minded players who did spend quite a few hours grasping the game and keep the community somewhat balanced without giving a significant advantage to those players who blow through normal. This option will value the time investment of newer players, while also allowing experienced players to potentially try out a variety of builds early on if they so choose to try two builds within one character rather than just one single build.

The problem here, is that everything that could be said about this subject, HAS already been said. So again, i iterate...

No.

Cheers.
GGG - Why you no?
I honestly wouldn't mind if GGG sold full respecs for real money. I wouldn't need it myself, and I don't think it's P2W since the same result can be achieved by simply remaking the character.

There's obviously a demand for it, so why shouldn't GGG be allowed a bit of extra revenue from the players who want it?
No buy orbs of regrets if you want a full respec

You've had 3 posts to say, "hrmmm I see your point and you could be right."

Oh, is THAT what you've been pining for all this time? You've been describing a game that I do not want to see - why would I acknowledge that your ideas are valid?

I know for sure that having to explain this to you in multiple posts so you realize you can't win this argument with me is both enjoyable and makes me feel better about myself for not being like you.

Wow...Whatever helps you out of bed in the morning, dude. I honestly have had no such thoughts about you, who you are, or what you might be like. I was pretty sure this was just a conversation about PoE and respecs, but if you want to imagine yourself as some sort of diabolical mastermind then go ahead...
No full respecs please. Re-level a new character or buy alot of orbs or regret. paying for a full respec is pay to win and will ruin having meaningful choices.
