Full Respec......
" I completely agree with this. It wasn't until one of the late patches that blizzard introduced the respec system. |

16 respec points through quests + the orbs is more than enough. if your build is so full of fail you should be forced to buy more respec orbs or roll another character.
this game really doesn't need anymore respec buffs. they who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety

Respecs trivialize build rewards. A build that booms late game would be cheapened of the work if it just instantly started with an easy early game build then was switched late game to the new one.
I am completely against a full respec. The way it is now makes it plausible to respecc to some degree without making it feel like if you play a certain build early your hard work and effort isn't a complete waste of time. Builds that go for the late game 'ownage' of sorts should be rewarded, not pushed aside only to be taken when its become 'easy' for it to work. |

Evidently no-respec has the heavy majority.

not necessarily.
it simply means in CB, the people who hang out at the forum more are in favor of no respec. this discussion would be more valid once OB hits. |

" I am going to take this from an entire different perspective and you tell me what you think. Respecs increase build rewards. A build that you discover without fear of having a 15-20 hour grind if it fails, is very rewarding. It could be copied by someone else if you choose to reveal it, but you are rewarded by being the first guy/girl to do it. I am for a one time respec. The way respecs are now they dont allow for casual players to experiment with the skill tree, they will be forced to just take a cookie cutter build (Not to say theres anything wrong with being a casual or non casual). If a casual player was to try and create a build that failed, they will def lose there hard work/effort, and it will be a complete waist of time. Trying out builds should be rewarded. They should not be punished with this "make a new character" idea, because they tried something new. Ultimately I agree respecs could be abused to achieve what you suggest. I think the game needs a bit better balancing if such builds exist. I only have to say is there are a lot of characters, and there is no way on every character they are going to do what you suggest. So my question is why keep respecs out for the 1/2 characters per person that may abuse it, when there are 20+ more of there characters that will use it for good things. |

change orb of regrets to give 2 respec points?
seems like a good balance to me. ign = ultrahiangle

" When one changes the statistical effects of any curreny, it affects all values relating to that currency, so this might now be a good idea ... Cheers. GGG - Why you no?

I am actually a big big fan of respecs. I didn't like D2 as much when it had no respecs. I just think this game has more than enough and if it does more it would be going to far in that direction. Keep a balance.
