Auction house Yes/No?
I want a legitimate trading system other than spamming loads of stuff in trade chat for hours, but I definitely don't want it to be an auction house.

I want to see a player driven currency exchange. I'm sick and tired of spamming chat for alteration orbs.

At least this trade chat should be formalized. Like "ItemLink--ilvl--slot category"
and one item per statement. Also slot filter would be nice. Seriously, who the hell wants to see that wall of random item links. They really should use a web site if they want to sell a lot of items. |

Something like the grand exchange from RS -_-

YES! Give this game some sort of 21st Century worthy trade system, call it whatever you want as long as it lets me search items others have for sale in game, with the option of setting prices.

Yup a trade system that doesn't involve spamming chat for ages is the way to go. I also hate sitting around spamming a trade channel that interrupts what I want to do and that's play the game.

There would have to be a currency item to both buy and to sell, to throttle its abuse toward the endgame.
In the old days we had talk about being able to conduct trades <---- right here ----> on the forum, which would make it redundant however. Since it cuts out the need to have a coincidence of wants to line up perfectly, in the end it'd be almost identical to an auction house to those of us who'd use it. Jay wilson, the former director of Diablo 3, said himself during a panel talk at GDC that the auction house "really hurt the game" to quote him

Auction house -> destroyed game -> because "people play the AH not the game"
Artificially hindered trading, where you waste more time than on an AH, but can still "play trading" -> not destroyed game?? I say that "global economy" already does a pretty good job at destroying an ARPG. Auction house is just a logical conclusion to global economy. Either remove global economy entirely, or implement it properly (you can call it Automated Vendoring Masheen, or whatever).
