" So if you dont want to use it, its fine, but maybe some other players are not ultra hardcore players and want it? I dont care if i could outlevel that in a few hours. Also the game drops depends on luck, maybe some player is not that lucky, and would have a chance to get some useable item in this way? All low level players are totally excluded from this trade-stuff, which everyone says its a MUST-Social-Thing that they could not change, because its essential. --- EDIT --- Also i dont see any game-braking-stuff in my idea, where i trade stuff which i dont need for stuff i could need? What's so totally wrong on it, that you wouldn't even leave other people a chance for that? (Because actually it is impossible, even if you would like it) Last edited by egofelix#0821 on Dec 10, 2013, 12:15:09 PM

" How about quit complaining and play the game? You might have better luck.. I've sold things in the trade chat like 4 times and ended up with some okay gear. |

" Think about what you just said. Trading is better than loot drops and crafting? Exactly where do you think those items for trading come from? Loot drops and crafting. What you're asking (for your loot drops and crafting to be better than trading) is literally asking for all of the best items to be found or crafted by you, so that nobody out there has better stuff that you would have to trade for. What you're describing isn't a problem; it's a mathematical statement of fact. Last edited by Oxyn#1769 on Dec 10, 2013, 12:25:07 PM

" You are throwing with arguments at me which totally says me, trading at low levels is bad for the game... Im not complaing about anything, i just saying that i would like to have some really trades, not Buys and Sales. Also this hole Discussion is totally useless, ase we already have an AH already. PPL Post stuff in Shop and i can search for it on an external site. I just dont like the fact, i cant trade any stuff that is at lower level. And i would bet my ass on it, that not less people leave the game because of this fact! (I know u dont need low stuff, because u got uber-stuff in your vault, and when you make a new char, just pop out the uniques and go ninja, if you want to tell me that...) I remember when i was younger, i was trading my one pc-game with one of my friends, thats what im calling trade. You are buying your friends game! --- EDIT --- This Guy clearly matches my point too, and there are probably more! Last edited by egofelix#0821 on Dec 10, 2013, 12:55:00 PM

Something have to be done. the current trade system is simply a waste of time.
There is no transparency, no real communication and most importantly no Fun. The goal seams to be mostly to rip off newbies, yeah that's really fun... besides GGG already announced that we will get a new trade system: " from this post here: what could "a new trade system" be other then a more organized and structured approach like an AH or like in Everquest bazaar in the days? we will see with the next rotation of challenge leagues. " I'm not talking about "best items." I'm talking about getting the stats you need on gear for your build to progress through the content. You can get though Cruel maybe on your own drops. Past that requires either getting carried by a party, or trade, trade, trade. And someone else finds/crafts and item that they sell - why? because they can't use it for an upgrade. EVeryone is finding/crafting gear that they can't use, but someone else can. That's why trading is more efficient than drops or crafting, to get gear you can use YOURSELF. Again, not BIS gear, just progression gear. edit; I would point out this is the EXACT problem that D3 had. You hit a massive gear wall in inferno. Farming never got you upgrades. You were forced to take the items you did find, sell it on the AH to get gold to buy the items that were upgrades. ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ Give moar Power Creep Pls Last edited by Druga1757#1370 on Dec 10, 2013, 1:34:47 PM

would an AH work if there was a transaction cost introduced? I suppose bids and sellers would therefore need to be kept anonymous. I would propose something like 30% to 50% of the final price be slurped up by the game and gone for good - the game would have to force bids to be in multiples of whatever currency then.
That would prevent endless cycling of items at no cost. Friction in a market system like this would help a lot to prevent the main problems that (non RM) AH added to D3 - being devaluing items. It would also be another deflationary mechanic, which could only be a good thing to help preserve the value of currency. The current system of consumables helps but even the consuming is working towards (probablistically) creating items of higher value. Finally, such a transaction cost would ensure that self-found still tastes sweet. |
