The REAL truth exposed!! (Brought to you by a player in top 10)
If you want to get to 100. Do it.
If you don't want to spend the hours doing it. Don't Laughing at the thought of "elite" players though. I hope the key to the city or the adoration of your loyal fans will all be worth it when you do hit 100. Oh wait, no one else gives a shit whether you get to 100 or not. |

this topic is a bunch of people using words they think make them sound smart, and arguing at each other instead of actually discussing the topic/problem
i can't even lurk this thread because every page i click on is a waste of time. "Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds."

The sad part is, it's really not hard to at least find people who are using jsp:
HopTortoise: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/379915 "Probably won't be coming back. I enjoyed it for a time, but there are too many glaring flaws with this game which the developers will not comment on. I find this rude to the community which is financing this game." And his jsp poster name is..... HopTortoise: http://forums.d2jsp.org/user.php?i=929248&c=40 Do you honestly think i care? im quitting the game and liquidating my assets. |

" ha. What I find rude is people who cheat, and think they're a part of this community. |

just got back to the game, and wanted to say congratulations guys, for catching yet another small fish :)
in fact, reading this just made me more angry than I was when I took my 2-day break. now let me ask the entire Path Of Exile community a question: how many of you ever visited --link removed--? please - silently - raise your hands. I know, "just went in to check orb trade rates" right? I find it funny that you let a spammer site determine in-game trade-rates in the first place. now - out of all who raised their hands - who ever clicked the huge banner that says "our pixels for your real money"? I know, "just went in to check prices and laugh at them" right?
now open this up
and how many actually bought a fucking binary string for cold hard cash??? something that was either cheated, stolen from someone's account, or farmed by some poor sap somewhere in China or whatever? moral of the story is, GGG should sue the pants off this site (and anything like it) AND ban thousands of accounts instead of just an occasional d2jsp user AND fix whatever game mechanic that makes people frustrated enough to think about RMT in the first place. THIS is how you fight RMT if you really care and think it's a form of crime like I do. anything less, like just doing one side of this "triangular assault" (ie only banning accounts, which is GGG's approach right now) - won't even be close to solving the problem. because if I hadn't known better, I'd think GGG are getting a cut off RMT profits, with all the wrong design choices they are making since Open Beta started. they wouldn't be the first though. Activision (R.I.P Blizzard) are doing that since Diablo 3 came out, and probably as early as WoW pre-expansion days. if you are reading this - Chris and the gang - then I'm sorry for being so blunt, but either publicly admit what is written in the previous paragraph, or read the 2 paragraphs above it again. recent years have made me very suspicious about the intentions of game companies, unlike in the old days where it was gamers making games for gamers. or maybe I just got old and grumpy :) Alva: I'm sweating like a hog in heat Shadow: That was fun Last edited by ionface#0613 on May 23, 2013, 4:25:30 AM

" Actually, the poeex job was a very well done scam. It started out very legit. There was NOTHING of the site that even suggested RMT. Then, one day, I wandered off there to see how the economy is shaping up... and bam. Buy orbs, $$$ everywhere, ads to RMT site escaping my adblocker too lol. When the OB started, people trading would almost always say "poeex rates" and so on. They built popularity on this nice service, and when on peak, they jumped on the RMT bandwagon COMPLETELY. I am almost 100% sure this was a planned job :) You really think Blizz took their share from RMT on WoW? This is a little tinfoily :) I mean, they have the most successful game ever made, and they also make the most money ever made with a game, and after all of this, they gonna risk their status by taking little money from little RMT sites? I don't buy it, but meh. It's possible that Blizz employees could do that on the side, but as a company, meh. placeholder for creative sig Last edited by ionface#0613 on May 23, 2013, 4:25:02 AM

" you're probably right. and thinking about it even further, the Diablo 3 Real Money Auction House isn't stopping the spammers, cheaters, account hackers and Chinese farmers. on the contrary - it may actually give them extra motivation. so why did Activision do it? because they saw what happened in WoW, and it hurt them that they can't officially make a buck out of it all. sure WoW to them is a gold mine, but it really hurts when you make just 50 billion dollars and not 51 billion dollars, you know :) that's why they "regulated" this in D3, and started taking commissions out of every trade transaction - thereby making a ton of money. and I say "Activision" and not "Blizzard" for a reason. Blizzard as you and I know it is dead. some parts of it's soul found their way to companies like "Runic Games" (Torchlight 2), but most of that soul has been eaten by the greedy corporate suits. Activision today is just as bad as EA always were, and that's a level of evil Satan himself would be proud of. Alva: I'm sweating like a hog in heat

Act 3 isn't finished and act 4 isn't even out.
So long as the difficulty levels stay the same and the new zones go up from 68 eventually we will have out of map content hitting something like level 85. So then maps can be 86-100 and those top level items will only come from maps. You beat the current game when you killed piety in merciless, After that it's about finding items. That's exactly what end game is in an arpg, an item hunt. We all did countless mf runs in D2 and never complained because we didn't have enough keys to run Ubers all day... Well that's what maps are to Poe. So really be quite about not being able to hit a higher level because it isn't intended yet. /Thread. |
