The REAL truth exposed!! (Brought to you by a player in top 10)
" It was originally just a site managed by a guy, and he adjusted the values based on voting. Then he sold it to an RMT company. He informed people in a reddit post, but that info didn't propagate amongst the population as much as it should have :( |

" Well said. From a solo, self found player, currently only able to progress (as slow as it might be) my 87 and 85, and craft.. because of the recent Act 3 changes, but this is short lived. Reason... I actually want to craft with orbs, rather than stuff them all into 68/69 maps, hoping I get higher map drops, getting shit XP, paying through the nose and likely getting a 66 map in return if I'm lucky, or even a 15% XP penalty and have to completely ignore crafting to try to sustain. Casually casual.

" What can I say. That explains things. Can you really blame the guy? He worked on that site, and he probably didn't get shit in return. Then some RMT company comes and offers you a few thousand USD (although I suspect the price could easily go beyond 100.000 USD), and what do you do, even if you're not poor... just take the cash, to the 10 hells with the game, after all it's just that, a game, and money is IRL. It's kinda sad, but understandable. If the site would have been making lots of money from ads or donations, selling it would have been out of the question. placeholder for creative sig

" Somebody else took Undone :P "Undon3" is a little more organic than "SL4Y3R", less dancing on the keyboard :) Not to mention that most who bother to type my nickname just skip on the 3=E thing and make me "undon", whatever that would mean hehe. placeholder for creative sig

I think the OP has a couple screws loose:
1. PoE is still in beta. One can expect a game in beta to have a 100% finished and tuned endgame, but one will likely be disappointed. 2. There IS higher level stuff that isn't finished yet. 3. Chris himself has said that they aren't happy with the XP facet of mapping as it is currently implemented. 4. Thousands of hours and thousands of dollars later, are you still searching for that feeling of uberness/leetness/satisfaction? Guess what, you aren't going to get it from playing a game. Wrestle your OCD to the ground and go outside. You'll thank me later. I think I speak for a lot of moderates, who are enjoying the game for what it currently is (a VERY VERY GOOD beta!), and who don't have the time and energy to compete with the frenzied no-lifes for post length and volume. That said, I imagine the devs are smart enough to ignore the loudest and most frothy, so maybe there's some balance there. :) Have modem, will travel!

Is this the greatest troll thread ever in POE? I've only been here since open beta so I don't know what went on before.

" So don't have the level cap at 100 if it isn't "intended" for players to try to reach it. You should know that if you set a level cap, that players will try to reach the level cap. This is game design 101. And if you restrict getting to the level cap only to the super rich, your game will come under fire as p2w. It is what it is. |

" This I can agree with. Human nature, etc. Have modem, will travel!
