I wouldn't be coming back to D4 S7... but, GGG made it possible.

" The solution is simple Get access to a streamer client, as those clients have exponentially higher Uber loot chances, roughly around 973% higher than the standard client. You ever watch how streamer turn 20 white, heavy belts into 20 Uber unique belts 20x insuccssion? That's all you need to know |

" Spoken like a true D4 fan. Go back to the safety of your darling D4 if that's what you want to play, and if PoE2 is too complicated for you. D4 bad btw. There are oneshot mechanics, sure. The balance is obviously not perfect. Most white mobs are safe to engage with though. Typical deaths to white mobs are from not paying attention or biting over more than you can chew. Gearing up isn't that hard, I get upgrades for one of my characters (decided to take one of each class to end-game) at least once every day. Resistances absolutely make an impact. Try take out all your resistances and go into just a T10 map. Warrior as a template to build from is fine. Titan is a great ascendancy to boost various nodes around the passive tree. You can make a Warrior a spell caster with ES if you want. Or you can make your Chronomancer a Crossbow wielding screen clearer that can freeze time over 20 seconds at a time by investing into skill effect duration, use a support gem that allows for that to be done twice in a row at the cost of an increased cooldown, and then reset the cooldowns with the Chronomancer skill to get another time freeze while you barrage the targets with whatever crossbow skills you decided to use. This isn't D4. As for getting entries to pinnacle, that may take some time, but it seems like moving further and further away from your starting node is better to find the various citadels. Going in a circle is less effective. Also, treat it for what it is. Early Access. Unfinished. An indication of what the game will be in 6 months to a year. Already being this good tells me the game will be something special. Last edited by Absconditus#0168 on Jan 9, 2025, 1:01:41 AM

Keep in mind this is EA. You all knew for what you signed off. And also that endgame had ~6 months of development per Jonathan answer. So I am not surprised that it feel "clanky".
Is it better than POE1 - for me no, at this moment. Here are my reasons: 1. I prefer endgame to be zoomy, I can achieve some zoomies after I spent ~ 150h of active playing and have my build up and running, for which around 30h tooke me to finish the campaign before the patch. After multiple rerolls of my trees. This is what I expected on initial start. Campaign it self, I don't give a rats ass. 2. Crafting. Its pure RNG, I like to have some kind of control on initial steps. And its annoying that items are only one time use. We can't scour or have proper meta crafting. Current meta crafting with omens are unreachable or its not worth. I think if omens rates are adjusted this can be changed. But still a lot of RNG factor. And essences are only single use is total horse shit. Since it can roll low tier. I prefer essences in POE1 3. Endgame feels sometimes as chore and force content I don't enjoy. I hope in future iterations towers are reworked, and we have some kind of control which content we want to play with. E.g. I don't want to see no expeditions on my maps. 4. Atlass - Hate the split tree. I like POE 1 style. Where everything is one big tree, and you choose what you can do. Because now blasters can do everything which is unfair for common players. 5. Map layouts - a lot of them have to be looked at due to backtracking and layout / color pallet. 6. One try per boss / map is total bullshit in my opinion, more on bosses. Due to one shots / on death effects. I hate on death effects. If I killed the mob I should not be thinning about him any more. * Does it suffer same problems as D4 did. Yes. In map backtracking / layout and random / invisible on death effects. * Does it have more depth then POE 1 - in this stage hell to the no. In future we don't know. * Does it have more depth then D4 - even in EA it has more depth in my opinion. I am waiting for next big patch to see what it will hold. I would like to see the changes in crafting and maybe endgame mapping like atlass changes or map layouts changes. If these two things are addressed, I would convert from poe1 to poe2. Until then, poe1 is better for me. Oh hideout / MTX update as well since a lot is missing. |

" Man, I love POE 1. PoE 2 is a fkn joke compared to it. But it is not that bad to compare it to D4. Lets be honest, nothing is that bad... |

this is funny. I delete the d4

"G-d no, please stop this nightmare. I want rest of the PoE 2 including endgame to be as slow and as methodical as first 3 acts of the campaign - including the difficulty curve. Last edited by WarStalkeR#7616 on Jan 9, 2025, 1:26:48 AM
