Do all the XP penalty complainers just body brigade through the game? Honest question

Fought forsaken miners. The dudes throwing invisible projectiles.

Saw them throw the bombs away from them, i move in to attack them and somehow all those projectiles were never thrown away from them at all.

This is also why people you see people everywhere, who despite what you say to them. Will just come up with any way they can to discredit you or insult you, or dismiss you, or look even more superior, as compensation. It makes rational conversations nearly impossible with certain people who strongly ego identify with something. I'm sure you've seen some examples.

It has multiple things to do in end game (dozens actually), no exp penalties, no respec cost with the armory update, mounts, skippable campaign, etc. I.E. it's a game that is "fun" to play.

You've literally listed things that make any game less of a game, "you can skip the game which makes it a better game 4Head". I mean I have to hand it to you, at least in the case of shallow trash like D4 being able to skip playing MOST of it every season so you can go play something better is in fact a pretty good feature lol. If I was a D4 fan I guess I would welcome features that minimize my need to play it as well.

Anyway there's nothing more tiring and pointless than arguing with someone who thinks their subjective preference is an objective truth. I mean I think D4 is dogshit but I also understand that this is purely subjective. So I'm going to move on so as to not waste a bunch of time explaining subjectivity and objectivity. I'll just say that the only way you could quantify D4 as "better than POE2 objectively" is by using the copies sold AKA the classic "McDonalds makes better tasting hamburgers than Gorden Ramsey because they sell more of them" argument. Which is ground we've already covered and is also really obviously a dumb thing to waste time responding to.

But I didn't call them bad, the game showed that to them with the empirical proof of -10%xp and they came to the forum to complain. I just explained the meaning behind the penalty.

path of exile touts itself as having incredible build variety.

However, seeing how almost none of those builds can actually go past the halfway point of the story, that statement is arguably a major farce.

The ascendancy system is also another layer to this farce, since it ensures that a large amount of skills can't really be used by other classes, since they will be lacking key traits those skills are balanced around.

Which means that, all in all. If you are trying to make your own unorthodox build, you won't be allowed to enjoy the game to the fullest. Nothing to do with actual skill, only that the game, mathematically will gate you for not following the meta.

Unlike games like the souls games, where it is very much possible to kill everything with the worst weapon possible, if you have the skills.
