Heck, even on mundane products like new cereal flavors or new foods or even launches of brand new businesses such as restaurants.....changes always take TIME. They are never ever ever immediate.
Why does GGG have to give immediate fixes, when literally nothing else in the world operates like that?
If they gave you weekly patches (which they gave you MORE than that already), you all would be yelling "It should have been a day". If they waited a day, you would shout "It should have been done BEFORE release". You don't even realize that all your feedback amounts to is "I don't like the game, fix it for me NOW".
This post and others like it are so blind, you can't even begin to fathom that all the problems you have might even be FEATURES of the game that are exactly what GGG wanted and will never be patched out. I bet that thought hadn't even crossed your minds when you write things like this.
You think that when they release a patch, all your problems will be solved to YOUR favor. But I can almost guarantee they won't be, and then what's the next complaint going to be? When you can't complain that they aren't listening because of vacation time, what's the next "company line" you have?

Yup and the OP seems to be a bit clueless with rose tinted glasses of POE developers doing things quickly all the time.
But the one time its a holiday they lose their minds. And start talking about "business decisions"
As if they understand a thing about running their own business at all.

Brother if most of what players find unenjoyable is an intended feature then I would like for GGG to tell that to me instead of you dramatic people in the forums. Also, the first half of your response is immediately invalidated because it goes directly against what I said in the OP. Just a friendly reminder that YOU ARE NOT GGG AND DONT SPEAK FOR THEM! You could be right and I could be wrong. Let's let the team speak for themselves and vice versa. Let the team speak for themselves.

I understand your perspective but I disagree. This forum Index isn't formatted in a specified way for feed back to be provided hence threads like these existing. If you don't agree with my opinion then by all means tell me why (figure of speech). I addressed that community engagement is lacking (due to the holiday obv.) and that as a consumer and fan of the game it doesn't leave a good impression. That is literally feedback . Maybe not formatted in a way YOU and others agree with but there are those that do. If GGG want's bullet point's and limited characters per post than they will make that change.
Happy Holidays!
What "community engagement" are you expecting?
Lay it out for me mate. I'm struggling understand what the issue is. Unless...? You are actually here just being inflammatory and serving no purpose?
You can elongate your statements into the biggest word acrobatics ever seen, it doesn't make them any more pertinent, and makes them far less valuable as feedback.
So, your feedback is, "engage more with the community" after they said "be right back, we're going to enjoy Christmas while you enjoy the game". Why can't you wait a few weeks? What's the problem again? Or your feedback is, to retroactively unrelease the game and then re-release it when they are ready to work?
Oh right... There is no feedback. It's all just inflammatory nonsense from Mr. Business.
My apologies if I lack communication skills but I believe I pointed out what "community engagement" I expected. When I say "engagement" I mean GGG addressing(not deleting) the very controversial topics being talked about like magic find ( One of the many examples). Talk to the player base about it. I will try and format it better (I'm genuinely trying to communicate effectively).
The game should have had weekly patches and engagement from GGG addressing hot topics as in ,
1) The lack of loot dropping.
2) Crafting being a slot machine
3) Loss of xp on death -endgame
4)Overall conversation and acknowledgment of these issues and concerns the testers have vocalized.
I have already acknowledged the changes they made in the OP. I still reiterate my point. If you don't agree that's fine.
Alright, well if that's your feedback, then post that, and hope they listen. Like everyone else. Stop bumping this awful thread you made with malcontent.

I stated I don't expect immediate changes but would have expected acknowledgment but perhaps not clearly enough. You are running of a misinterpretation of what I said.

Brother Respectfully, you do not get to dictate how people give feed back. Drop the ego already it's an opinion. If we shouldn't format our feedback as such GGG would not have given us the option .The OP is the feedback but this exchange we are partaking in is a conversation/debate. Respectfully , move about your business.

A company this big doesn't go on vacation and abandon their game.
What they have done is gone into hiding, this is typical Tencent behavior an attempt to ignore the community or have to deal with complaints.

Are you seriously unable to see that you are calling these things "hot topics" when...they sort of aren't. AND that they don't have "quick fixes" that a weekly "talk" would do anything about?
1) This is a FEATURE of the game. And its a very small minority complaining about this. They don't even need to address this because they did prior to the EA even dropping. You chose to ignore it, or expected something different. That's fine, but they owe you NOTHING. This is likely the last thing they would ever change about the game.
2) Crafting is barebones. It WILL be expanded upon. They need to take their time and do it RIGHT, otherwise risk another Harvest 1.0 situation. Again....weekly patches and engagement does nothing for this. They don't owe you squat on this topic.
3) This is a FEATURE of the game. Something they are very happy about. That's why they took it directly from POE 1, and made it EVEN HARSHER. They love this. Endgame: barebones, EA. It WILL be expanded upon. They don't owe you any short term nonsense platitudes on this. It will not be going away, live with it. Guess what PoE 1 had in the open beta? NO endgame at all. Literally none. They had a few maps, zero bosses. The shaper and his guardians wasn't released until freaking 2.4!!!! (the beta was 0.10). Atziri was the first endgame boss and even she didn't arrive until a season AFTER the full release of the game. We were spamming Dominus and the Docks for nearly 2 years before any endgame content arrived. ***even as I wrote that, I knew I was wrong: even Dominus didn't arrive until after the open beta.
4) Acknowledgement of these issues? No....you just want them to AGREE with you. But buddy, they will NOT agree with you on most of your problems with the game. The sooner you accept that, the sooner you can move on.
They. do. not. owe. you. jack. They aren't hiding, they aren't avoiding conflict, tehy aren't doing any of that. They literally have no choice but to come back and continue working on this game lol....its their entire livelihood. But one of the WORST things they can do? Give us constant halfbaked updates about nothing, then regularly change direction and their minds and confuse the hell out of everyone. No.....what they NEED to do is take all the time they need to formulate a big "What comes next".....and then another month will go by. It took 5+ years to get to where we are now, the least you can do is wait a few weeks or even months for any big changes.
That is how the world works. It doesn't operate on YOUR schedule. It operates on theirs. And theirs is not a daily or weekly schedule. It never ever has been, why you would expect that now is utterly ridiculous.
I'm done with this thread....you can't see the forest for the trees and I'm done trying.

Zip it up when you're done buddy. No one asked you to come and continuously add nothing to the thread. It's like you didn't the OP where i stated I don't expect immediate fixes. You also referenced another users response and added it as if it was my own? You are just another toxic elitist ranting instead of talking about the OP. God bless you.
