I am happy to hear that POE1 veterans feel that the "busted crafting system that is little more than a sadistic RNG generator and other issues will limit the longevity of the game". I agree, it is terrible and will be providing a post on my own experiences regarding this. I say "I am happy to hear" this because there are plenty of ARPG players who actually just have a gambling addiction, and prefer insane RNG simulators to satisfy their cheap dopamine and serotonin fix. I want nothing to do with this.
I hope GGG listens. The crafting system is non existent. Even D4 eventually got this right. I am not a POE1 veteran, but I will not be playing this game anymore unless this crafting and gearing system gets a complete and serious overhaul.

In PoE1 they were VERY good at listening to our ideas. Now, they aren't. You want to play Souls Whatever, then do that. If you want this game to be that difficult then they need to add an easier mode for those of us who don't. I HATE Soulslike games, they're not fun, they're just annoying and I don't want to see my favorite company fall into that trap. If they don't start listening to the ones that have been here and the ones that will stay here then the game is destined to fail. there CAN AND SHOULD be a happy medium, but right now Streamers matter more than diehard players, and that REALLY bothers me. If they at least got rid of the entire zone respawning on death I'd be A LOT happier. You wanna run the zone again, make a new instance.
POE1 isn't going anywhere. If you want that game it's still there waiting for you. The rest of us who didn't find poe1 appealing wanted something new, an evolution to arpg's.
Let us enjoy our game and you can enjoy yours.
They should have made a game for you poe-1 haters and not called it poe. Bang right in the mouth.

Pro tip, hboi and poe2warriorguy literally don't play poe2, all they do is hang around on the forum trolling trying to make people mad enough to say stuff against ToS to get them banned.
There is no point in engaging with them, they aren't here to contribute positively in any form. Just ignore their posts and move on.
Edit: Be nice if the forums had a karma system, with a minimum threshold required to post in bug reports and feedback sections.

I have literally had people follow me to other websites and harass me on those for criticising Path of Exile 2's current design choices.
Doesn't really make me feel optimistic for the future of the game.

Oh lick my crack with that bull. They sold us on an ARPG, like PoE1 but new. This is NOT an ARPG it's a souls game. but ALL YOU care about is telling us we suck or that the game isn't made for us When they LITTERALLY TOLD US IT WAS. so I'mma complain about the difficulty until it's changed or the game comes out of EA, and if it doesn't change I'm not giving any more of my money to GGG, even in PoE1.

It is in fact not your game. Just because you bought some skins doesn't give you the right to force the devs to make the game you want. The only people crying here are 'poe vets' who want to make the game poe1 but with better graphics.

And you obviously have never been here before. We vets matter. WE are the ones who supported the company and WE are the ones that will continue to do so long after people like you are gone. You want to play a Souls game, go do it. PoE 2 is not and should not be like that. those games are boring trial and error until you memorize every little movement. Also again it IS NOT YOUR GAME, IT IS OUR GAME.
