The Palpable and Uninformed Hate and Dismissal of POE1 Veterans Sounding the Alarm is Worrying
" Its quite clear that the OP is not this person. Theres no way someone who has 3 kids is on here with all this internet keyboard rage pent up inside him and on all day. Alarming if it was true but its not. |

" Being forced to trade means its not the same. In poe2 you are self sufficient. Even casuals can play ssf there with self made build. This proves my point perfectly. PoE2 is build around lower drop rates while poe1 is not. Comparing the 2 is therfor stupid. PoE2 is more comperable to D4 or LE. |

Just wanna throw this into the ring, not sure if someone has.
What IF the feedback and view of veterans is too biased and narrow coming from vears of PoE1? SOME, not all, of the feedback from veterans sounded to me like they want this game to be more like PoE1 and i would dislike to see that happening. The gameplay and systems now are very relaxed and easy to digest and i am glad to not have the clusterfuck of chisel, alch, vaal, sextant, scarab etc. I think the general approach here is well done although, yes, they might add all that crap in here as well. Have a good day! |

" You know, all things considered, PoE is a really cheap hobby. I've seen folks throw 10x that amount at stock cars and legos. Don't even get me started on wargaming. (Lookin at you Warhammer) Thats sad about the wife though. Last edited by Lugonu#1626 on Dec 20, 2024, 7:28:36 PM

" Rage? Nah, its just a video game. All you are doing is keeping my thread pinned to the top and I am anwering to do so as well because I actually want POE2 to succeed. Thanks for the bump. |

What's all the fuzz about? People demand campaign skips? Not happening, it's not D4. Removing honor from Sekhema? Not happening since it's central to mechanics.
"We wanted PoE2" they say while expecting it to be something they jump in and destroy first try? What's the point of such a "sequel"? PoE 2 is different in many aspects, requires you to learn to get good at. But some self-proclaimed veterans got reality checked. They're bad at the game and think GGG gotta make them feel good about themselves somehow. Maybe you should challenge yourself instead of crying? So much drama. Especially funny to see it from grown men. :D |

" Agreed. I liken this to Ritual 3.13 where people were given a taste of power and now they think its standard requirement of play. POE1 was just this long drawn out version of it, and some vets think POE2 should be all this crazy power and fast paced crap that POE1 has. The devs needed to start with something fresh to not make that same mistake again. And they are nailing it with POE2 And thank you for your feedback have a good day! |

" Dumb the game down? LOOOL, they dumbed THIS game down so people like you could play it, PoE 1 has infinitely more depth than PoE 2, this is the game for brainless people not PoE 1, any crayon eater can make any build worth with how much they "force" you to go the way you cant F up, creativity is gone, shallow passive tree, shallow weapon locked skills, no crafting, 0 interesting midifiers, it´s all about hp and resists, you guys seriously make me laugh, i facepalm so hard when you come here thinking youre the shizz because you can play PoE 2 lol. For context on the trend that the GGG noobs have blinders to when extoling the dubious virtues of the game. POE 2 has dropped more players in 2 weeks than quite a few PoE1 leagues had for a peak.

" Wow .. doubt it. Not with the gearing situation and things descrbed by well known POE streamers about item scarcity in maps. Playing SSF is a pretty harsh commitment. Most will trade in the end if they cant find what they need. And to be honest if I am playing SSF I dont mind that, so long as the crafting system permits it. |
