Really disappointed with the direction you are taking the game (making it easier)

If you don't like it, I suggest you quit.

That's what you all said to us before, right?
Keep what harder? The game was never hard, PoE 2 is a joke compared to PoE 1, im doing max tier waystones without any knowledge of the tree or skills on the the first week of the game with trash gear, in Poe 1 you go try that and you dont get past tier 3 maps and that´s stretching it, probably you will not even get past tier 1 maps, stop saying to keep the game hard because it never was, PoE 1 is infinitely harder and has 1000x more depth, there you feel youre growing as a player, you learn new knowledge and get better, here any crayon eater makes a build and reaches endgame, all the dificulty PoE2 had since the start was making the loot so scarce that it wasnt even an arpg anymore, and the things they are fixing are broken mechanics that are hurting the game, like getting one shot in high tier maps for death effects that you cant even see, or the massive chaos damage one shots when chaos resist never was an obligatory resist and more of a comfy resist, and Trials being completely unbalanced especially for melee, and dot effects draining 4k honor in half a second.

I really hate people bringing this everyday, the game is NOT hard, stop, just stop, the game has problems and they need to be solved, and they are doing that, and i hope they cant get the game to the level it diserves.

My issue is that a lot of this 'hard' stuff is pointed directly at us millennials. A lot of it comes back to reflexes and response time. And while that is one way to make things hard, it is pointed directly at those of us over 40. Reflex response time goes down across the board starting in the late 30s, and building an entire game around it kind of just edges us out.

Why doesn't GGG just straight up say that if you're over 40 they don't want you playing the game...

I'm firmly in the 'want a challenge' camp but the vast majority of these are not diluting the challenge of the game.

removing on death effects and halving the amount of crit damage mobs do? how is that not nerfing difficulty? its getting you closer and closer to not having to think about combat at all just zooming around maps.

So one shots are a valid dificulty for you? Kripparian is running probably one of the 0,1% most tanky builds in the game atm with everything he can do to reduce damage taken and he takes one shots left and right with no chance to counterplay (ye youre no better than kripp, not even in your dreams btw), is that proper gameplay? White mobs one shotting you with a lucky crit, making you lose a waystone, the investment made on it and the xp you got in the last hour, is that proper gameplay for you? Let them actually fix the game and maybe they will keep some people around.

Oh I guess it's our turn to do this now eh?

Ok.

Go back to diablo(2)

The 'gitgud' kids have mostly been doing nothing but arguing in bad faith since release day.
Game will still be plenty challenging.

The announcement is a huge W.

Nerfing sanctum even though it was completely fine. Halving respec costs, Removing -res from maps, reducing monster damage, removing volatile crystals. These are all things that 'speed up' the game in various different ways and essentially is the start of turning PoE2 into PoE1 already and we are 2 weeks into EA.

Halving respec costs means you lose any sense of character permanency, most ppl are just going to be in a cycle now of rerolling to whatever the most meta streamer build is over and over each time changes happen.

The point of mods like volatile crystals is that it makes you actually have to stop and think about gameplay, that's what all on death affects are doing. These things are important to the flow of the game if you remove them it becomes mindless zooming with very little engaging meaningful combat outside of bosses.

GGG - please stop. Making the game easier and zoomy is not what the majority of people want, we do not want a reskinned PoE1 when we still have PoE1 there to play.

If they want me to stop and think then they need to seriously nerf mob movement and action speed. Otherwise I have to act fast, and in my case that means laying down frost walls and dropping frostbolts. I literally cannot see the volatile crystals underneath those things. If I can't see them I can't avoid them, and when a mob can fire off 20 in one barrage, if I'm in a tight spot I can't avoid them anyway.

Volatile Crystals is a bad mechanic that shouldn't exist. There are plenty of other modifiers, and they can add somethings else if the suite isn't challenging enough.

I really hope youre not serious, kripp is massively washed up and hasn't played hardcore for years. He's a full time card game player now. Please stop.

I fully agree that they need to tone down the speed of mobs, the idea should be to keep them in line with the campaign.

Volatile crystals is more than fine and definitely a skill check mechanic, you see the giant purple mob you play accordingly.

Uhh not to be that guy but you should probably do some research about what your saying before you say it.

Kripp is washed up, I wouldn't listen to a word that guy says anymore. I think you're getting confused with 5 years ago.
