Really disappointed with the direction you are taking the game (making it easier)

For the last 5 years all I've heard is that you want to create an elden ring style ARPG with challenging content and gameplay, within two weeks you've made multiple huge knee jerk changes which are completely going against that vision and those principles.

What are you doing? There is a large majority of people who want challenging content and are enjoying it yet you are listening to a vocal crying minority plaguing reddit and the PoE forums. Please stop catering to these people and don't make PoE2 a reskinned PoE1 zooming around all over the place one shotting all content in the game.

Your notion of difficulty is the same as Souls fanboys.
Spamming rolls and only being able to attack every 100 hours in a single battle, and calling it super fun, and criticizing others who think it's an extreme piece of shit and not funny. Cursing other players' skills, while the point is that this is just boring.

PoE2 is a looter ARPG,
or at least it should be. If GGG wasn't extremely greedy and wanted to appeal to the normie audience that loves FromSlop as if that dev was any good nowadays.

YOU LITERALLY HAVE POE1 FOR YOUR LITTLE BRAIN DEAD 'LOOTER ARPG' WHY CANT YOU LEAVE THEM TO DO SOMETHING INNOVATIVE AND DIFFERENT WITH POE2 EVEN IF YOU DONT PERSONALLY ENJOY IT HOLY FUCK

Guess what?
PoE2 is a sequel to... PoE1!!!!!!
PoE1 fans expected a looter ARPG, Diablo fans expected it too.
Only to end up being a Soulslike wannabe that if it continues to be so slow, so frustrating and without any power fantasy, WILL NEVER, ABSOLUTELY EVER WORK IN THE SEASON SYSTEM.

No one in their right mind would want to go through a trillion processes, walk around giant empty maps and take oneshots from some random common mob, while having to deal with an itemization system as bad as Diablo 4's at launch.
(Just imagine, having to put up with a trillion shitty drops of max level items, with Tier 1 affixes, because the devs of this didn't think of putting a higher minimum and maximum Tier affixes limit for high level items)

Because we don't want to? Why would we?

Did you explain yet why anyone should care what you, mr Policeman#7449, thinks about literally anything? In what universe do you think anyone gives a crap about what you, Policeman#7449 on the GGG forums, enjoys in PoE2, or why they should care about that?

At this point anyone advocating for making it easier, OR harder has to be trolling.

Make it able to support the customer (us) choosing the game experience they want to have so you can satisfy the most people and make the game as profitable as possible.

Everyone deserves to be able to have fun playing the game, and because fun differs and is subjective, then supporting a wide set of options is best.

I'm playing No Mans Sky currently and it lets me choose the experience I want, from really easy, to maddingly hard.
I'm done buying anything until we get some clarity on the future of POE1 and POE2 and I know GGG plans to spend effort on a game I want to play.

Tell us if POE1 still has your top tier support or if POE2 will get a mode for more casual play.
When you say these things do state your build as well as what levels you achieved all 4 ascendencies points, thank you.

OP is clearly missing the plot.

Getting one shot from an effect you cannot see is not challenging, that's cheap.

Mechanics doing 10x more damage than intended is not challenging, it's a fat finger in the coding.

Even in PoE 1, resistances stay the same from Act 6. If they wanted to keep the system as is in PoE 2, they would have to give us more reasonable methods to overcome the delta; currently there are none, so it's just illogical to have that in at this point.

This is the foundation of the game that they are going to build upon over the next decade. Take a chill pill, and let GGG cook.

You're gonna have to provide links for this claim, because I've been following most major POE2 news for the past five years and nowhere have I ever heard that they wanted to make souls nonsense.

If I knew that, I wouldn't have wasted 30 dollars nor would I consider this game an actual sequel. It's a brand new IP at this point.

Walking Simulator Mode would be terrible for PoE because it is what essentially killed D4 so fast. PoE 2 chose the direction of making basic character building easier to understand for new players while at the same time making the base game more mechanically demanding than just pressing move skill button and primary skill button all the time.

And casuals appreciating easy games is simply false, as Elden Ring proved. Designing difficulty is all about finding that sweet spot of making the game sufficiently challenging that you have to pay attention to what you are doing, while at the same time careful gameplay gets appropriately rewarded. Dungeon needs to be dangerous or players get bored quickly and stop caring. At the same time the dungeon should have a big reward chest full of gold at the end of it.
