Really disappointed with the direction you are taking the game (making it easier)
" removing on death effects and halving the amount of crit damage mobs do? how is that not nerfing difficulty? its getting you closer and closer to not having to think about combat at all just zooming around maps. |

On the real though, there needs to be a middle ground to where at least the game is approachable for most skill levels. Challenge should be had, but experiences that gate certain playstyles from completing CORE content should be addressed.
The git gud elitists that don't leave their basement can protest all they want. The fact of the matter is at the end of the day GGG is a business and they will do whatever is necessary to keep the vision and maximize profit. /End https://www.twitch.tv/satsuinotanden for streams.

I'm on board for a hard game but the changes they're making are good ones. The late game is a mess and needs many, many changes. I'd say it's even pointless to make these changes since they should focus on finishing and replacing all that stuff with the actual endgame content.
Sanctum is horrendously badly unbalanced for true melee. Very high respec costs when theyre outright bricking builds is stupid. Last edited by AnimePillowCollector#2255 on Dec 16, 2024, 7:29:02 PM

" if this is the case and they are now planning on abandoning their visions and principles and turning the game into PoE1 as fast as possible then they should let their audience know that their direction has changed. |

" Brother, addressing bug fixes related to honor and adjusting it so melees can do CORE content is not going to destroy their vision. I promise you. https://www.twitch.tv/satsuinotanden for streams.

" I did specify 'vast majority'. The on death effects are temporarily removed because the telegraph is not visible enough (which I think most people agree with), especially in group play. God forbid you have some kind of vision impairment cause you are SOL with those 99% of the time. The crit change is....yeah a change to difficulty but getting off screened by a mob cause it rolled high is prolly not a aspiring difficulty state they wanted. |

" I didn't know they patched yet. I quit the game until they made respecing or skill gems easier to deal with. I had many years of souls-likes under my belt. This was all fantastic news for me. Thank you! I'll go read the rest of the patch notes now. | |
" Currently in higher tier unmodified Waypoints one Cultist Archer could 1 shot you no matter how tanky you were with a critting Chaos damage arrow. A white mob killing you in 2 hits because you struggle to find good sources for Chaos Resist is not good balance. They chose to fix it by reducing the monster damage in maps and making Ele resist penalties less severe. Volatile Crystals were temporarily disabled because they had the bad habit of being hidden under ground foliage like plants, you quite literally couldn't see them so you had no idea where to run away after you kill the VolCrystal rare in dense jungle maps. Nobody is crying about on-death effects like the giant mutants exploding because theres such an obvious visual warning with their death animations. Same with the Maraketh Mummies who release poison pools much like Diablo 2 mummies did. Because the poison pool damage is relatively low. |

I initially rolled a melee monk and after hitting sekhema trying to do it 3-4 times and watch my honor drain in a single dot was so demotivating. Not low key.
I'm all for a challenge or I wouldn't be playing this game period. Now when a bug gates you from completing early mid game content because you chose to have a pair and fight in close quarters. Then there is an issue. https://www.twitch.tv/satsuinotanden for streams. Last edited by DreadlordMephisto#4974 on Dec 16, 2024, 7:32:35 PM

" What developers say aims to drive a narrative. If it doesn't lead to a game that people actually want to play, it is utterly meaningless, and they adapt to what people actually want or the game dies. Your "large majority" is a fallacial call to majority which does not exist, or at the least is not substantiated by evidence. How do you think PoE1 got to be PoE1 despite the same "vision" of the developers at the time? They just accidentally oopsied and made the game fast? No; they slowly aligned to what players want, because people paying money for the game is what gets the game made. |
