Floored by the power spike of TRADING. This will ruin the game.

Also you can play SSF in trade, you can impose any challenge you want to impose to yourself in trade - you can adapt anything so it is to your liking in trade - you can't do any of that in SSF. So why would you want to turn the mode ANYBODY can enjoy into ssf?

Agree with that. I feel like they should be adopting a more inviting "default" mode, and then let the harry hardcore people impose what ever hardships they want on themselves.

Here is the real truth though, and this goes for way more than just this game, people want to impose suffering on others, its how they feel better about themselves. Almost all of the "keep it hardcore" people just want it that way for their own ego or to inflict pain and suffering on others. They cannot just enjoy playing the game their way and let others play it their way, they MUST impose their way on others.

It's the only explanation that makes sense for anyone who does not want people to be able to choose how they have fun and wants to force them to have to play another way.
I'm done buying anything until we get some clarity on the future of POE1 and POE2 and I know GGG plans to spend effort on a game I want to play.

Tell us if POE1 still has your top tier support or if POE2 will get a mode for more casual play.

If they want to boost their ePen by boasting their SSFHC char, well let them play SSFHC, but I am gonna laugh at anyone who is gonna complain about trade making their SSFHC feel bad - its a choice they made and they can opt out of it any time.

If there's one thing PoE2 should learn from Last Epoch, it's the Circle of Fortune faction/mechanic.

https://maxroll.gg/last-epoch/resources/circle-of-fortune-overview

In a simplified way, it's FSF (Friends Self Found) instead of SSF and it's bloody AMAZING since not only does it lock you out of trade while leaving it an option to those who can't live without "free market" (since it's opt-in), it also provides a comprehensive system of loot bonus progression and is perfect to play with a few friends.

There's no shame in implementing brilliant ideas someone else came up with, you know.
As a new player I agree, trading has killed the excellent game for me.

Ideally trading should be something you can do very rarely, you're essentially getting the best possible item roll you can afford so it's kind of crazy for it all to be so cheap.

And it makes looking at equipment dropped in maps meaningless, someone for sure has something much better for sale.

Something like a fee for trades would be so cool, you can only get gold by playing the game, so that could be something that limits how much you can buy through trade. Want to buy a super weapon? Play the game, accrue gold!

Unfortunately SSF seems to be the league for me which is frustrating because trading could had been such a cool extra dimension of mechanics to play with.

Oh well, hopefully SSF ends up having good balance with a speed of progression that feels as good as the progression balanced for trading feels right now.

Ideally you would know how you do enjoy a game, and if trading overly much kills it for you, don't trade as much.

Hope these guys stay true to what they know will make the best game.
Yeah, but that still doesn't put a dent into trade at all. It might change SSF.

Just saying Trade faction in LE was vastly superior to circle of fortune or whatever they called their ssf thing as well.

Doubt they will change trade, heck I gotta say I even dislike LE's approach of SSF as its still the lottery game.

Div cards on the other hand were perfect for SSF - might just need those again

Yep, it kind of feels like when a game gives you a super OP DLC weapon at the start of the game and you have to throw it away to actually enjoy the challenge, doesn't feel great. But seems like the solution is to play a game that is about doing everything to become as powerful as possible while also constantly ignoring the things that will make you more powerful, because they're not fun.

A balanced trade system similar to LE would be a thing of beauty.
but trade is balanced, by supply and demand. Not by artificial limitations which are just stupid and hindering people who enjoy playing the game in a different way than you do.

YOU CAN ALWAYS CHOSE WHEN TO TRADE. If you think the game becomes unfun because you traded to much, that is on you NOT on the game. I just enjoy creating builds and pushing them to the max, for that to be within any (in my opinion) reasonable time investment I do need trade.

Half of the fun is planning your build, the other half is seeing it work how you did envision. Why do you want to kill that kind of fun, just because you are unable to pace yourself to fit YOUR playstyle when it comes to trading. Why do you need GGG to hold your hand to not trade too much
