Floored by the power spike of TRADING. This will ruin the game.
" Quit reading after this. You don't want that, you want all players to experience the game the way YOU think is most enjoyable. If you want to find your own phat loot... then just DO IT. Play SSF. No, the problem is you want OTHERS to be forced to play this way too in some ridiculous notion that someone else having better gear through trading affects YOUR game... in what is basically a solo player game. |

It's amusing that Johnathan says "we have to move with the times" and specifically referred to Last Epoch being something that has influenced what people want in games, yet conveniently dismiss how Last Epoch caters specifically to non-trading players.
The problem with SSF, in the current state, is how little currency drops. That is fine in a trade environment because those currency are currency, and rarity gives them the value to be used as currency. But in SSF, those currency are not currency. They are raw materials that must be consumed in large quantities in crafting, simply due to the nature of crafting being gambling instead of actual crafting. But those raw materials are just not dropping in any meaningful quantity. That's the problem with the SSF balancing. |

Seems to me the fix is relatively easy - increase the currencies you can get from salvaging and more specifically disenchanting gear.
If gear with 5 or 6 mods would salvage for Exalt Shards, buyers would salvage more and have more currency to spend which would increase prices, and sellers would salvage more and have less items to sell as it's less likely to be worth the wait. The problem isn't the trading it's the lack of enough currency or crafting tools to reliably craft something good. So the currency itself is not valuable in small amounts. At that point they are not crafting mats they are just currency. Last edited by Orion_3T#5225 on Dec 25, 2024, 7:48:00 AM

" That is such a weird take. Do you look at the system in last epoch and go "that is completely illogical, how could they possibly contrive such a system?" |

" Other pllayers roflstomping through trade indirectly affects everyone if GGG take that into account when balancing. If trade is out of control either the game is far too easy for people who trade or far too difficult for those who don't. Possibly both. It becomes absolutely impossible to maintain any semblance of reasonable diffficulty and destroys the integrity of the game. |

" Exactly. Just like the way players who play this game like a job impact the game for the entire playerbase. Last edited by blombaklats#5298 on Dec 25, 2024, 5:08:30 PM

I enjoyed farming and resale them via trading. It fuel me with energy to continue to grind. I guess different players would have different preference. There is no 1 size to fit everything solution.
