Floored by the power spike of TRADING. This will ruin the game.

" It's literally what the majority of discussion was from Rogers. He described it as an exponential curve where the economy gets saturated with items 90% as good as the absolute most expensive items and it destroys the game. He's spot on. But by all means feel free to explain. Or don't, I don't care, I'm mostly done with this convo, but since I traded in POE 2 i don't really have a big urge to play any more so I have a bit of time to burn on these boards in the meantime if you'd like to keep this flame war going. KaosuRyoko already posted it,
"They do talk about taxing an instant buyout trade, but I don't hear anywhere in there they mention changing the existing trade market at all." I try a last time to explain to you how the future trade system might look like, that jonathan is speaking about. You take the system that we have right now and IN ADDITION to that we will have an option to buy gear with an instant buyout option, with a gold tax on top of that. nothing that exists now will be removed so the hope you have from your false interpretation of the video, that they will make it more difficult to trade will not be a reality. i don´t know how i can explain it any better than that, yif you don´t understand that you are just trolling or ragebaiting. |

" It's exactly the solution that I was hoping from, and solves all the issues that were presented in this thread. It's not a "tax" it's a fee. A tax would imply a % of the transaction being incurred on top of the trade, a fee for the no drop item of gold restricts the total trades you can perform in a given period, which was exactly the solution we need to these myriad of problems. A simple solution that solves all these issues in one swoop. Last edited by crazyfingers619#3901 on Dec 17, 2024, 9:35:21 PM

How does it solve problems if it doesn't affect the existing trade system?

" It does affect the current trade system, it sets a hefty gold price to list an instant buy trade, which in turn limits the total amount of trades that can be placed on the market, which in turn greatly diminishes the saturation of godly tier loot that is very cheap, which in turn greatly improves the balance of the game for all players. And let me be clear, if these guys are taking this as seriously as they should, expect this gold price to be VERY costly to engage in on a consistent basis. If they are able to find out how to incur a rising price for rapid trading, that would be ideal, but that might be hard to work around for a game with no loot so as not to be too punishing to players who want to engage in light trading, but to curtail power players from soaking the market. I'll advocate for a trade voucher again. Maybe players can find no drop trade vouchers that would allow them to engage in trade but that you can't keep more than 3 of at a time, and you can't find more than 1 every 3 days or so. The ideal system allows players to engage with trade from time to time, without too hefty a fee, but scales up the more you engage in trade to prevent power users from crushing the economy. This gets complex because players can make free alt accounts to get around any per account rising cost. Last edited by crazyfingers619#3901 on Dec 17, 2024, 9:48:09 PM

But the trade site will still exist exactly the way it currently does, instant trade is just an extra option that will exist is how I'm hearing that.
Just like the Currency Exchange exists with a gold tax but the trade site still lists currency with no tax. |

" Actually it might not solve the problems. If other trade sites pop up that allow players to easily trade at a rapid pace those issues will pop up again. What they are proposing aren't full proof solutions, but they are better than nothing. I'll be honest, I'm getting really tired of talking to you naysayers who just want to get some gotcha, and not actually discuss the issues facing this game in a reasonable fashion. |

It's only an issue for you (and I'm sure some people that agree), but we've laid out why we like it the way it is pretty well. You just called us crackheads for it lmao.
