But the game is trivial so skill hardly matters. You should be able to...

Who's forcing you to complain so much about a game until devs give in and let you no brain without having to engage with the game?
Isn't that the root of the issue in the first place?
"PoE1 veterans" who just one-click zoomed on other people's builds for a decade without ever engaging with or learning any of the mechanics of it, and now that they had to try on their own for 4 days they bitched so much that the devs actually made the game trivial?
Check my posts and tell me where I'm the one complaining about the game. You'll see me state multiple times I'm enjoying it but some things need work. What I'm doing is trying to keep the handful of you whiners from misrepresenting things. GGG made the change based on data, stop crying and either play something else of find things you do still enjoy about the game and focus on those. You've been crying for over a day now, GGG has been dropping hotfixes with hours of certain things coming to light.
I have been DEFENDING the game as it was FROM people who were demanding it to change and saying "only tourists like this game" and "it is too difficult", and stating that I like it, while being called a tourist for it.
They made the game they wanted already, because that's how they released it, yet all the bitching compelled them to give in and change it [Removed by Support]

The droprate patch was definitely needlessly big.
Most changes were needed (orb droprates absolutely so), but they went too deep. Sure you're not ALWAYS swimming in rares, but now rare actually isn't that... rare.
It reaches the point where so-called "crafting" (actually gambling since GGG refuses to make any definitive craft) is completely inferior and unneeded - because you should rather go kill some elites/bosses and you will have much bigger chances on finding a gear upgrade!

In which world is this game trivial? If you think so I will enjoy you see you race with Ben and other god gamers soon.

Boss drops in act 1 (Yes, all bosses, even minor map bosses, looked like this so far)

This is my gear at level 10.
I am Act 3 Cruel, have 2 legendary drops to show and most of my stuff is the same I had in act 2 normal. Yeah godlike drop rates, will be swimming in "magebloods" any time soon!

Don't worry Chris and Johnathan can make decisions about their game without your help "defending" them. Do you think they're revered on accident?

this game went downhill real fast lmao
whenever I click a stream it's some one button deadeye build running at light speed, one shotting the entire screen and getting 20 items from one big pack
idk how the game can be in such a terrible state after going through multiple closed beta tests. genuinely don't understand why they decided to separate poe 2 if it's going to be the same shit
i hope they either stop listening to the powercreep hungry cookie-clicker 1-shot farmbots, or have a ruthless mode with all the challenge and moment to moment gameplay depth that path of exile 2 was intended to have. stuff like this shouldn't be possible https://youtu.be/4amI6glez9U but we're still in early access, so there is hope.
I'm also banking on this. I hope they just revert back with some updates and not get pushed around by the criers. It is EA so I hope they learn their lesson and it's just growing pains with these latest decisions. I always had faith in GGG, but getting a bit worried not going to lie. It seems to be the biggest test of a Gaming Company as well tbh. Do they fold when the casuals and POE 1 trolls complain? Or do they stick to their vision, have faith in it and allow the game to be great?
We don't need another POE 1. Let POE 1 be POE 1 and let POE 2 become POE 2. They should have separate identities, and that identity doesn't have to be for the masses of masses. Elden Ring is a great game for example, challenging, punishing and frustrating at times. Not everyone likes that type of game but it sold well did it not? It's a great game isn't it? And it's loved by countless people and was a tremendous success for FromSoftware. What would have happened if they listened to the people saying the game was too hard and had never played a Souls Like before? Because there were a ton of them. It would have failed. Miserably. You can't hit all the checkboxes and you shouldn't. Too many boxes and the game is washed out. It needs to know what it try's to be and be that. Too many gaming companies are trying to hit all of the boxes and please everyone. You simply cannot do that if you want to be successful.
I just don't want to see that for POE 2. They need to decide if the game is a top down, dark and hardcore, gritty Souls esque* type of game - Or a literal D3 or D4 clone. Cause that's what it's feeling like. At launch it felt near perfect. I agreed that we needed a bit more loot etc and other things needed tweaking but difficulty was the main thing that had me just having such a fun time. Now, I'm really not having fun. If I want to play POE 1 - I'll just play it. Loading up today, I feel unchallenged and bored.

This game wasn't made for a very small but loud minority that just because they got lucky with their drops, class and skill choice think the game is too easy now. You don't like the loot? Then don't pick it up.

This.
Unfortunately them showing the readiness to give in and change what they had initially planned to release will compel even more people to crybully their way through ruination of this game.

What a pathetic pile of poop.
Classic bait and switch. Terrible really. I hope they revert.

No bait and switch, they never promised you horrible drop rates and they can do with their game what they need to make it successful, they owe you a big fat nothing past what you paid for to get into EA, and that's as long as you follow TOS.
