I am convinced that a majority of the difficulty complaints are either people trolling, or people who haven't bothered to look into crafting / disenchanting / random gear from Finn / increasing resistances / literally engaging with any game mechanic whatsoever.
They can safely be disregarded.
I've also seen that a common complaint is taking too long to clear trash mobs.
That's not a "game too difficult" issue, that's an "I built poorly" issue.
I clear trash mob packs in 3-4 seconds. Your build is bad.
The fact that simple pattern recognition is 'difficult' to you. Man, Dark Souls has poisoned a gaming generation, hasn't it?
No, Cupcake, this game is not 'difficult' in any way. It's just cheap and unfair at the moment.
And that's what people are talking about. There's a balance that needs to be reached between 'risk' and 'reward' and there's no balance whatsoever at the moment.

Tip:
When you click on an item, you put it into your inventory.
You can bring magic (=blue) and rare (=yellow) items to Una and select "Disenchant". You get shards. 10 shards make 1 orb.
You can then select the orb, select the gear, and it gets a new modifier.

Dude... I haven't missed picking up a SINGLE blue or yellow item in the entire game so far!!!! Care to guess how many alchemy or exalt orbs I've received? Or essences? How are u defending this ridiculous shitshow of loot we have so far?
Alchemy, Essence, Regal are supposed to be rare. I've got like 4 Regals total at the end of Act 5.
Don't waste them on shit gear.
Your transmutation and alteration orbs are bound to be abundant. Use them until you have 2 good affixes, then use your rare orbs.

I'm more than happy with the difficulty. Most of the content in the game is downright solid and it isn't taking me too many tries to kill most bosses. Takes me anywhere between 1 and 4 tries to kill them as Merc, but there are a few things that are way too overtuned at the point ya reach em even with proper gear, such as Rattlecage (as well as the trials in general) and Mektul. Some of the maps are also just way too huge. Not that I think some maps shouldn't be, but almost every map? Nah.
I hope they can find ways to rebalance things without losing the inherent challenge and difficulty.

How much more clueless are you? there is no "whaling" in PoE1. Do you even do any basic reading or come from a game with 2 digit IQ players where somehow you were considered witty, pithy and smart? You are none of those, and a toxic ignoramus to boot.
