I am worried that GGG might listen to the whiny "game too difficult :(" crowd

In the end of the day they will make the changes needed to keep the game profitable.

We have 2 decades of PoE1.

Do you think that the ones braging about "i like hard games" are the ones staying in the game for long time and making it profitable? Nope.

GGG tried to make PoE 1 harder / slower a lot of times and it was always a mess. They even created Ruthless thinking it would make any success.

Its early acess and things are not balanced yet but i BET with you tha game will be as easy and fast as PoE 1 in no more than 2 years when the "im hardcore" dudes vanishes as they always do.

To be honest, there are definitely things that could be improved, but the difficulty is okay overall.

I haven't encountered any bullet sponges yet, and I haven't been one-shotted, even by boss attacks.

However, I must admit that I've put a lot of effort into planning my build. I regularly use the crafting system, experiment with my skills, and invest time in researching and purchasing gear.

I'm willing to bet cash that a lot of the complainers haven't even played the game at this point. They can never give any details, all they do is parrot the same lines off of each other.

We can watch an echo chamber form in real time lol

The entirety of reddit and most of this forum seem to disagree with you. Thanks for proving my point perfectly.

The "entirety of Reddit" and "most of this forum" (have you kept statistics, or where are you pulling these numbers from) can kiss my buttcheeks.

Never trust anyone who resorts to pull out the "these [unspecified] people I am claiming to be the majority agree with me" to make a point, because they never have a point / ground to stand on.

For everyone who has
- given the game a fair chance
- actually engaged with the game's mechanics
I believe the game difficulty is perfectly fine as is.
You'll figure out where the problem lies pretty quickly (I, too, got oneshot, until I realised I was sitting at -30% resistances and upgraded my gear).
You'll also figure out boss patterns pretty quickly. You die to the thing once, remember it, and don't die to it next time. Simple.

Maybe I wasn't clear, but I just wrote that I find the difficulty cool.

I know lol
GGG is in a difficult position i guess.
The game is more mainstream than ever, all the streamers and content creators from other ARPG or even outside of the bubble moved to it (for how long, depends of the views i guess) and such people are expecting a more streamlined and easy road to complete it.

I hope they stay strong because browsing through "content creators" it seems people are unhappy about the game when in reality, 83% positive on steam for a polazired genre like ARPG is very good.

I hope they will carefully think before to listen to the vocal minority or echo streamer chamber.

I played all of the ARPG more or less and it is always the same since internet exists.
the vocal minority does not want to put the "effort" even minimal to understand a game, it has to be instant gratification and the content creators loop effect does not help in this regard.
Content creators want to zoom zoom in order to make a "build guide" quickly for the copy pasters(Viewers), viewers want to have a build guide because they don't want the challenge and it has to come fast, vicious circle, however this is only a loop effect and not representative.

I cannot wait the moment games will have an auto-survey tool within it to really feel what the majority is up to.

If they go the zoom zoom and simplification road, there is no way back that's for sure.
Perhaps an option to enable an 'easy mode' via a checkbox during character creation would allow some players to enjoy the game while they wait for guides and pre-made builds to become available online ?

I am not opposed to it, I just don't think GGG would have the time and resources to create essentially an entire second game just to (maybe) please complainers.

Although from my understanding, the "veterans" complaining about the difficulty seem to make the point that it's the streamers liking and hyping up the game, and only "tourists" like "the difficulty", so don't even know who is who anymore at this point.

At least I got to agree with them on that one.
As someone who streams, this game is absolutely brilliant.

I find it a little ironic that most of these " hardcore gamers" or whatever haven't even beaten poe1 pinnacles, let alone ubers.

And now they're trying to belittle anyone who finds certain aspects of a BETA state game unbalanced or in need of some ironing out while completely ignoring the fact that the majority of criticism isn't about actual difficulty but bad design decisions.

Also, those who find the game simply too difficult due to various reasons, have every right to voice their opinions.

The purpose of EA is to gather feedback from all kinds of people, not these, smug self-glorifying, and totally pointless topics...
