Why do you care if they make it easier? Serious, question.
Is your self worth only driven from completing "hard games".
So what if they make the game a bit easier for new people.
Don't like it?
Here is an idea, play with less gear,so you can brag how you did the entire campaign with just a weapon slot item, and your self esteem will be intact.
They should just play Ruthless and/or HCSSF. There are options for people who want challenges.
Being 1-shot by random off screen enemies or White Mobs or un-telegraphed skills isn't difficulty. Having your ES depleted in 0.25 second due to an Affix, Poison, or Chaos then another 0.25 second your HP is gone isn't difficulty. That is bad game design, the player cannot overcome or react to such things.
Gear Drops and Crafting Drops are low. People claiming to have an "easy time everything dies easy" are likely getting the good side of RNG and just over-powering thru the content. Then you have the other side of the coin where a person has Level 10 weapon and gear into Act 2 because nothing drops, of course the game balance is going to feel unreasonably hard. Somewhere you have the middle ground, which is less common atm because GGG even admitted the crafting and drops were bad.

PoE2 in EA state is better then PoE1 after many years.
GGG made a leap in the future, this game is amazing.
Yeah, i see whining kids here with 0 skill, that need everything without minimum efford.
PoE2 is perfect balanced now. I'm sure small changes are needed for overall QoL, but thats it.
You all PoE1 babys, go play PoE1, it is still ON, still free.
Stop whining.

I wish. They took away Ruthless from us, they said Ruthless won't be in PoE2.

If enemies 1 shot you, increase your resistances.
If white mobs 1 shot you, I'm calling BS.
Dude probably hasn't even played the game and just jumps on the complain train lol
HCSSF is the only way.

For everyone who has
- given the game a fair chance
- actually engaged with the game's mechanics
I believe the game difficulty is perfectly fine as is.
I've seen 2 types of people complain about PoE2s difficulty:
1) People who just gamehop and complain about everything, while refusing to learn any mechanics about the game, and calling everything that remotely resembles having a mechanic "too difficult".
I've seen journalists call Spongebob Bikini Bottom "too difficult".
There is no limit to what people will find "too difficult", and how much people will refuse to engage with core game mechanics and just expect an "I win" button.
2) The "PoE1 veteran" who prides himself on being a "veteran", while having been conditioned to copy someone elses build and pressing 1 button to zoom + oneshot maps for a decade without bothering to understand anything about anything, who now hit a wall after finding out he actually has to think about builds and mechanics and engage with the game mechanics.
Ironically, the "veteran" prides himself on struggling with basic mechanics, while simultaneously getting overly angry and defensive at people mentioning they haven't found the game too difficult, and will then rant about how much money they have dumped into the game.
This is typically the group spending their day on the PoE forum calling everyone who enjoys PoE2 a "tourist", being fully convinced their antagonistic actions are somehow "supporting" the game / studio.
+1

In the end of the day they will make the changes needed to keep the game profitable.
We have 2 decades of PoE1.
Do you think that the ones braging about "i like hard games" are the ones staying in the game for long time and making it profitable? Nope.
GGG tried to make PoE 1 harder / slower a lot of times and it was always a mess. They even created Ruthless thinking it would make any success.
Its early acess and things are not balanced yet but i BET with you tha game will be as easy and fast as PoE 1 in no more than 2 years when the "im hardcore" dudes vanishes as they always do.

Exactly this. The people praising the "difficulty" will quit after beating the campaign once or something.

To be honest, there are definitely things that could be improved, but the difficulty is okay overall.
I haven't encountered any bullet sponges yet, and I haven't been one-shotted, even by boss attacks.
However, I must admit that I've put a lot of effort into planning my build. I regularly use the crafting system, experiment with my skills, and invest time in researching and purchasing gear.

The entirety of reddit and most of this forum seem to disagree with you. Thanks for proving my point perfectly.
