I am worried that GGG might listen to the whiny "game too difficult :(" crowd

They need to keep the game difficult imo

It's not even difficult.

Do you not understand that rng means people will infact be drop starved? You only counter rng with time playing (player influenced) or quantity/quality dropped from mobs (no player influence). Just because you got ample drops to craft items at a rate that allows progress, does not mean all others will. I have both a drop starved character and a character with drop surplus. If a new player joins and gets drop starved they will leave before it averages out because the experience is miserable.

You have to bring the HP of enemies to 0 so they drop loot.
The more often you do this, the more drops you get.
I hope this helps ♥

And at this point you are just shit posting rather than giving feedback.

Don't forget to use skills.
You can make a skill by using an Uncut Skill Gem.
Using skills will help you get a monster's HP to 0 faster.
I am worried they will listen to the "blah blah, I got lucky and i am getting more than 1 currency per 3 acts" crowd and keep the loot in the gutter...

You don't get drops, you don't get orbs, you don't get gold, your gear stagnates. You need 10 blues for one orb. Gold income is so bad you have to sell multiple inventories worth of items to purchase a single item. No drops then you suffer. Get drops, you proceeed smoothly

Brother, you're not supposed to do a pacifist run.

Save your time and effort - pointless responding to this guy who doesn't even have basic comprehension skills, and has some pseudo-toxic-superiority (Case in point: look at his response to your post). Just ignore the toxic troll, whose pinnacle of achievement in life this year probably is getting lvl 30+ in this game so he can crow about it ( there is a thread he made where most of the replies are...from him, contentless, meaningless and toxic.)

Tip:
When you click on an item, you put it into your inventory.
You can bring magic (=blue) and rare (=yellow) items to Una and select "Disenchant". You get shards. 10 shards make 1 orb.
You can then select the orb, select the gear, and it gets a new modifier.

Hope this helps :)
I can't say I'm surprised at the messy feedback. A passionate fanbase with quite divergent views on what the right direction of PoE is. Many arguments which start with "my opinion matters because of X years experience" which doesn't actually demonstrate the author's build or understanding of PoE 2. Desperate attempts to belittle others to parry the feeling they may have a valid perspective. Successful attempts even, since authors aren't exerting the effort to distinguish themselves from the truly ignorant.

There are 2 sides to the Dunning-Kruger phenomenon: the ignorant believing they are good and the competent assuming everyone possesses common sense. For my part, I'm wondering where these passionate casuals are across the years of PoE 2 teasers which telegraphed the slower pace. The community will get around to setting up elaborate auxiliary sites for trade, knowledge, etc. As for the argument that newcomers will be scared of the difficulty: have we asked them or are we projecting they'll just know what the PoE 1 experience is in comparison?

Whenever I see someone mention they're new in PoE1, the horde almost immediately swarms to infantilise that new player, tell them to use build guides, tell them to use other people's characters, tell them to use this, to use that, and generally denying them the experience of "figuring things out".

As a new player, this has happened a lot to me as well.

I assume this influx of "veterans" complaining about the "difficulty" of this game is just the result of people just mindlessly one-button-clicking someone elses build like toddlers for a decade, without bothering to understand how anything works.

Now that they can't copy someone elses build and actually are encouraged to think for themselves and figure things out, they're struggling and complaining.
