I am worried that GGG might listen to the whiny "game too difficult :(" crowd
" What I wanted WAS much closer to what was shown or otherwise implied: 1. I wanted a more D1 or D2 feel of the game in terms of speed. Check 2. I wanted a game that was a little more thoughtful about how you approached mapping / combat / etc. ... check 3. I expected Regals & Exalts to drop like it was raining them so we could find a good blue and upgrade it across the board. Implied in trailers but not here. Miss. 4. I was hoping for clearer [longer?] telegraphing on the so called obvious boss moves ... Good enough for many people but I'm on the edge of failing "too many" 5. I was expecting that if I liked D2 HC Ladder runs back in the day, was fine with SSF Ruthless that I would feel at home in PoE2. Mostly a check with a big miss on the timing of the avoidance of the "Dodge or Die" mechanics and the frequency with which those mechanics are presented. |

This is a pretty poorly thought-out and quite a toxic post. Many of your assumptions and dismissals show that you actually have no real understanding of what people are saying, nor are you being charitable to their perspectives or where they are coming from.
What I can't understand is why so many people feel the need to fight against others giving feedback in a forum that is specifically designed for providing feedback to the developers, as if you’re waging some kind of war against them. You are not providing feedback - you are literally just attacking other players. Are you really so insecure that you cannot allow opinions different from yours to be expressed? Is your ego so fragile that you need others to dislike the game for you to enjoy it more? At the end of the day, profits in a game are directly linked to the number of people who are able to enjoy it, have fun, and find a fulfilling experience. Turning away enough heavily-invested Path of Exile players, as well as casual players, is a risk. Every game that has catered exclusively to the hardcore, sweaty crowd has ended up with extremely limited sales. Casual players will not buy cosmetics in a game where they feel like quitting in Act 1. Ultimately, your goal isn’t to make a successful game where GGG is profitable; your goal is to satisfy your own ego. |

" That's a wild conspiracy theory bud. Nobody is gonna take you seriously when you are literally making things up. Remember to go play something else when the inevitable changes happen in this beta :) |

op fighting like a rapid dog cornered in an alley way.
1/5 people dislike the current game enough to leave a negative steam review. |

" Very elaborate response to what I've experienced up to the point I quit. Got proof that minions, which aren't just raging spirits, actually kick ass later? My skeleton warriors and arsonists say otherwise. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.
Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish. |

" People are asking for changes based on their own personal experiences given the feedback has a lot of overlapping problems. It would make sense to make those changes. Your opinion this game is good for me so it shouldn't change is incredibly more Karen. You're being stubborn and refusing to even have a good faith discussion and see it from other people's perspective. Every post you make is pure irony. The funniest thing that nobody is talking about is that OP has played ONE league in the past like 5 years and is out here commenting while trying to promote their twitch stream.
Their only character in the last five years is level 75-85 lol

" Yeah... Their only character since HARVEST is a level 86 from Settlers... And they didn't complete the campaign in Harvest. 3 challenges and one of them was "do 3 harvests"
" It is not about hardcore or casual. I consider myself a relatively casual player. I understand your sustainability, and I agree. BUT: GGG stated this is the game they want to make. People like myself enjoy the game they made and wanted to make, and I think that maintaining a certain level of gatekeeping against Karens who demand change (of something they don't even like) to cater to them is a good thing for the health of any subculture / community / game. I've seen many games and many franchises try to cater to everyone and abandon what made them niche / special / the thing their core fanbase liked about them in order to either jump on a hypetrain or make it "for everyone". Things are allowed to have a target audience. Something that is for everyone, is for no one. There are plenty of games that are more to the complainer's tastes. Fans are allowed to protect their niche. Last edited by Fae_Lyth#6750 on Dec 9, 2024, 5:07:23 PM
