Diablo 4 announces that there will be a campaign skip ... its time for POE to do the same

So. Many. Cry. Babies. PoE has never been about making things easy from the start. That should not change. You want to play one of the other arpg that do that, then by all means go do it. Yet here you ALL are playing regardless of your complaints and veiled threats of leaving.

its just diablo fanboys that wanna gut poe so its easy and welcoming to the point you lvl up to 100 in 2 days and get HH in a first day :D.. with D4 many of this complaining ppl that dont even play a POE will leave. not like they did anything ells then cry in forums
A few years ago I would be saying no, but now I actually agree. It's oudated and now they've made the Acts even longer with difficulty increase etc.

I think you do should always have to do it once though. D2R works without a skip system because it's so cleverly designed that you can get through everything quickly with group play, rushes and solo XP boost spots.

But POEs huge 10 Act solo slog is 100% just so utterly boring now. I am not saying you should be instant maps, but after a completion there should be some sort of fast-track or different mode where you grind XP fast while still getting some prep loot.

FYI a guy hit lvl 100 this league in less than 24 hours lol.

And believe me, the Diablo fanboys don't want to gut, or even care about PoE, especially once D4 launches. Whatever the PoE enjoyers end up doing, good for them. Millions couldn't care less tbf.

Imagine viewing a game negatively because it tried to be welcoming and accessible. The PoE "charm" of being openingly hostile is wearing thin, the more they try to expand their base. People are often left wondering why QoL is held hostage, or gated by mtx, or why game information, mechanics, and new player immersion is so awful.

Not that it matters really. D4 and PoE are going two different directions with two different audiences. Sure there is crossover, but D4 isnt worrying about GGG player desgin philosophy. They are not embracing the punishing aspects GGG does.

Bottom line is that D4 will respect your time, any player's time. PoE on the other hand, doesn't give a shit about you or your time. "Invest or get fucked" has always been an interesting strategy. As ive said many times, GGG wants to design the game for a more harcore, niche, player, while simultaneously marketing and trying to drive casual revenue. It's obviously problematic, and once casuals have a reasonable option here shortly, they will take it.

This shows that the Acts/ early maps are still too easy.

is that why you and other diablo fanboys keeps carling around poe forums complain and demanding that poe changes to cater to your needs for a easy and casual game.

what views game negatively for welcoming newbies its all good and dandy for a game to do that. heck most ppl think poe needs to add shit to make game more friendly for new ppl so it dont stagnate to much and thts true. it needs that badly. but it dont need to gut game to a point thats its easy and casual and dont have barriers anymore. only reason poe is what it is because it is that hardy old school game that dont cater to every casual player. we got plenty casual games for players that dont want to learn or think and run head first in just slay mobs and this players dont need to go on poe to demand that game changes to them. dam no1 forces ppl to play a game they dont like. move on to others green grass pastors like new and shiny D4. i mean for last few years ppl scream o look that new shiny game will kill poe but for some strange reason this ppl keep coming back to game they dont like

Asking for QoL, UI upgrades, performance tweaks, trade improvements, better information so there is less reliance in 3rd party tools, websites, and discord like TFT, isn't "gutting" the game for casuals. Have a little respect for yourself as a gamer and customer, and not be afraid to ask GGG to do better.

Fact is players have a choice. They dont "demand" anything. Sure maybe some feedback is trolling or not in good faith, but the majority of it is legitimate, or at least reasonable conversations on differences in desgin philosophy.

There are some things GGG is steadfast on, and even more things that they could do much better on. Chalking it up to "complaining D4 fanboys" is super weak. There are plenty of things in PoE that are less than desirable.

As someone who gets bored past BA runs at lvl 60 & before maps for the past 3 years since starting this game. & has most of my fun from POB or Story Acts with parties. No. Party Acts are more enjoyable for anyone who's played POE for 3 years.
100 people towns with hang out fields. Witcher taverns. Free hair style options. IRO War of Emperium gvg map.

Average PoE enjoyer lol.

The meme of watching a PoE build video with absolutely zero gameplay, and just spreadsheets, PoB, and crafting simulations. The comments all being "this is great!"

It's admittedly charming to a degree, like a huge inside joke everyone is in on, but at a 30,000ft level, it's not exactly a ringing endorsement for the game.

Like Rule 10 on Reddit, as you try to understand some meta crafted abomination, and you understand little to none of how OP did it.

Or discussions on scaling and damage calculations/ conversions. PoE PhD indeed.
