Also, ultrawide (21:9 aspect ratio) is still usable with no black borders according to the most recent GGG post. Most of the complaints in this thread seem to be talking about super ultrawide (32:9 aspect ratio). That is the ratio that they are saying can give an unfair advantage.

There is quite a big difference between ultrawide and Super ultrawide.

On my 3440x1440 ultrawide I have new borders on the sides, about 3/4th of an inch each. They're really ugly too, not pure black like they should be.

Literally nobody bought an ultrawide screen to get an advantage in this game where they can see more mobs. That's one of the most out of touch ideas I've seen in a while.

People play this on ultrawide because it's a much more immersive experience.

Nobody cares why you bought it. I presented a simple solution, a solution you imidiately ignored which is fine, it shows beautifully that I'm right. You do not actually care about immersion, you care about seeing mobs farther away which also makes it easier to deal with them (I give you a hint: this is called having an advantage) In this whole thread there is no actual argument from you fellows concering this. You just throw around phrases like "out of touch, ridiculous etc."
while the so called "white knights"(lol) rightly point out that viewing range is attack range and so gives you a lot more range as people with other aspect ratios.

but wait i have another simple idea, set people with super wide screen on another scroll level. Then they will see the same range as other people and so the viewing distance should be a problem anymore. no more black bars, easy right?
Current Build: Penance Brand
God build?! https://pobb.in/bO32dZtLjji5
it would have everything to be good, but it takes a long time to create the map and when you create it there is no reward!

Just stay out of this thread, it's not about you, or has anything to do with anything that impacts your enjoyment of the game.

For those of us on ultrawide this is a huge blocker and a downgrade from what we have been experiencing for years.

If you can't accept that, GTFO.
Yeah, I can't bring my self to play this league out. Gonna go play something that supports my new monitor.
Bump.

ITT: People who quite literally don't know what they are talking about defending an obviously nonsense decision from GGG that needs to be fixed.
