Just like widescreen is an advantage over tubes. So? I have never heard of anyone complaining about such a thing. I have never seen a company not allowing higher aspect ratios because it's not fair. You have to evolve with the times.

Glad you're not a Diablo 2 developer. Imagine them having widescreen support for PvP.
Look at D2R for example, lol.

Imagine thinking Diablo 2 Resurrected, whose game logic is over 20 years old, or Diablo 2 PVP, which has no analogue in PoE, is relevant to this discussion in any way.

Yikes.
The 352nd character to hit Level 100 in Standard
The 82nd character to hit Delve 1000 in Standard
The game should not be a race to the lowest common denominator but cater to modern and diverse hardware setups to ensure maximum reach into the player base

That goes for monitors, graphic cards, network connectivity, etc.

Why annoy players, so they don't want to play your game?

I can't stand to look at those big black bars, so I just won't play or support the game. Not a rage quit, just simple annoyance.

You do realize it's because D2R's widescreen support is broken in PvP, right? Lol next time think before you post.

That's obviously an advantage.

Do you mean an advantage like it would in PvP in WoW, which supports all resolutions on all monitors perfectly?

PoE is a non-PvP, mostly single player game and you guys are trying to sell an obtuse snake-oil argument about screen view advantage. It's boggling.

What? If you play in a party, there's obviously an advantage if you see other mobs first than other players.

Also, PoE has PvP.

Your WoW argument doesn't even make sense. Not even the same genre or playstyle

I wish GGG would address this like they've addressed the other complaints :/.
I have an ultrawide and I have no issues.
I honestly don't know how many people have extreme widescreens or 2-3 screen displays... But not enough to care about.

They could easily put black bars in the pvp area of PoE and leave it alone elsewhere.

And anyone could size their window even though they didnt have a widescreen.

Make a suggestion for that then. Instead of supporting unfair advantage gameplay
