support for widescreen............ummmmmmmmm no

I don't have a widescreen but sheeesh, that was a very unnecessary change and it clearly wasn't an issue as it was present for so long.

I would be very upset if I had to play Path of 2 Giant Black Bars On My Screen.

10 years playing POE but I'm done with this game if they don't revert this change. Deliberately adding black bars to a game in 2022 is absolutely bush league nonsense. Totally unacceptable.

I've replied to the thread on Reddit, but replying here too in case GGG are taking this seriously. I've stopped playing and won't be playing again until this is fixed/reverted.

I don't know how many of us there are in relation to other players, but I'm willing to bet we spend a significantly higher proportion of money on the game commensurate to the level of investment in our systems. This change is a deal breaker for many of us.

This is not petulance. Once you have experienced ultrawide gaming it is very difficult ever to go back to a normal view. The game worked for years flawlessly - I used it as the gold standard example of ultrawide support, actually. Being saddled with ugly wide black bars on both sides of the screen suddenly is not something I want to deal with.

PoE is a great game, and to this point has been technically well supported. This is a very disappointing change that I hope will be reconsidered.

G9 owner here. I feel like I'm being punished now with this patch.

Dumbest decision GGG has ever made.

I'm thousands of hours and thousands of dollars invested in this game over 10 years, and this is the first time GGG has done something so head-scratchingly stupid that I may uninstall. I don't play games with huge black bars in 2022.

Fix this GGG.

Agreed, just can't play a game that doesn't support a monitors native resolution. I'm a G9 user as well, so disappointed that half the screen is black bars. Hope they understand that this change will cost them $$ as those who have UW's typically purchase the most mtx to play on their expensive setup.

It's 2022, who wants to spend thousands to look at black bars? Great game, poor decision.
